RE: HPI T-15 upgrades

You can't upgrade a T15 to a 15SS, they are completely different engines.

Do you have a link for the Speed Shop parts, I've been searching for that for ages?

RE: hyper 21 8 port-High temps??

Temps racing on a track are generally lower, because you only use full throtle in bursts, and the car has time to cool down inbetween.

Bashing or drag racing temps are generally a lot higher.

RE: hyper 21 8 port-High temps??

Not sure what your ambient air temps are over there Chris, but you sound like you certainly within the ballpark temp wise.

If you really want to lower the temps you could try going slightly rich...

RE: hyper 21 8 port-High temps??

How can you tune an engine by altering the HSN after the LSN, as any changes made to the HSN have a direct affect on the LSN mixture?

So for instance, you're running too rich on both needles,...

RE: hyper 21 8 port-High temps??

Good temp for a top spec engine is around 230F. For a budget engine (like the Hyper) between 190-270F should be fine.

RE: Rush Gas Tank

The HPI 75cc Racing Tank as listed in the options for the Rush.

If you don't have a manual you can download one from either HPI or my site.

Failsafe (as has been said) and Throttle Return Spring first. Then check out some of the items on my Rush site.

RE: rush evo wheels

Could you be more specific?

Rear toe in in set at factory (although you can buy alternative rear hubs to reduce toe-in).

Do you have turnbuckles?

RE: OS .21 RGX into a landmax2

The Kanai 3 engine mounts are lower to mount non-PS engines.

To mount a PS engine just makes up some spacers from 2mm ally (I cut up an old Kyosho Inferno radio plate) to put between the mounts...

RE: New HPI Rush Evo 2 - few questions

OK, firstly don't expect to be able to prevent the chassis bottoming out. You car should bottom when dropped from about 8-12 inches max. Have the suspension any harder and you'll probably be blowing...

RE: Question O.s. 21 rg-x in Inferno 7.5 RTR

You misunderstand.

The 21RG-X will be a straight fit. The 21RG-X(P) will need another part. This engine already has a pilot shaft on the engine crankshaft, so your current clutchnut/pilot shaft...

RE: Question O.s. 21 rg-x in Inferno 7.5 RTR

How many motors did you test?

The manifold has to be bolted on to the 21RG(X) too. I think it's the same bolt pattern that Kyosho use, that's why I said to check.

RE: Question O.s. 21 rg-x in Inferno 7.5 RTR

The stock engine doesn't have a pilot shaft, so the 21RG-X(P) will require a different clutchnut. Or your friend could fit the 21RG-X with the non-SG shaft. I'm pretty sure the old fashioned GX21...

RE: servo saver question and fail safe question

If you have a fully ballraced servo, of more than standard torque (I'm actually running a mere Hitec 325HB single bearing 51oz servo), then having a TRS set up to close a dead servo at WOT works...

RE: speeds the same??

Dalolyn, your last post kinda sums it up. That's why a (e.g.) 1/5th scale RC plane never flies realistically. If you could create 1/5th scale air molecules for it to fly through, with 1/5th scale...

RE: speeds the same??

Yes, of course. That's the whole concept behind scale.

A mile is 5,280 ft. A 1/10th scale mile is 528 ft. To do 60mph your real car has to travel 5,280 ft per minute. Your 1/10 RC car only has...

RE: servo saver question and fail safe question

I use a Kyosho Mad Force TRS spring, with enough tension to overcome the unpowered servo. The servo is dual ballraced which helps, and has enough torque to overcome the spring tension with ease.

RE: speeds the same??

Of course time isn't scaleable, but distance is.

A 1/10th car doing 30mph is doing 300mph in scale speed. A mile for a 1/10th scale car is 1/10the the length of a real mile (obviously), so in...

RE: Question About Carburetor

As Had Enough said, it may be your throttle rod collars, but it may also be that your throttle arm on the carb has slipped out of alignment.
