RE: Cheap Vacuum Pump Poll

Yes! Yes! You are correct. I am mouth. The proof is in the pudding/sales figures. I live to be corrected. (Prov 1:1-9 RSV)

Let us know here how many you sell. Better yet. Have your...

RE: Handling *#$@#$@ Cab o Sil (Amorphous Silicon Dioxide, fumed silica)

Man! What do you do with that much? Just for fiberglass laminations? Boat building?

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

I have one plane with NiMh batteries. That's where I learned about all this nonsense. Much as I find seductive the power density of LiPo and even NiMh, I now keep to NiCds. And I have a smoke...

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

What was it that finally got through? The fact that I drive a pickup truck, or that I like to pull the wings off small things that fly?[>:]

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

Whoa! Not on my account you don't. First, whenever someone mentions that they've got something that "will be available soon," its obvious that they are on the inside. They've just disclosed it. I...

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

Gesundheit! Danke.

For at least the third time, I understand there are costs to flying "on the Bleeding Edge."
But the point for me as I've pointed out in another thread is, I'm in the...

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

Here we go again. One of the oldest dirty tricks in the book: If you can't refute the argument, attack the messenger.

(This is a later edit. Maybe it wasn't obvious why I piped up here. I...

RE: Skyvolt System for Lithium Safety and Longevity

Yeah, that's nice.

But again, I gotta ask: "Who's paying you how much to spout this nonsense?"

I'm supposed to buy up to 4 protection modules for discharging the battery? Then what? 4...

RE: bomber project kp 44 fan questions

You mean I'm not the only crazy person in this world? I'd like a good sized B-52 myself, maybe 6 ft wing span, but I can't even imagine putting propellers on a B-52. I'm sure its more than a year...

RE: Handling *#$@#$@ Cab o Sil (Amorphous Silicon Dioxide, fumed silica)

Good idea. My two hour epoxy takes a solid 24 hours to cure for thin laminations in the winter when I keep the house 65-70. I was just using the blanket to cut that to about 4 hours when I wanted...

RE: Handling *#$@#$@ Cab o Sil (Amorphous Silicon Dioxide, fumed silica)

This is why I like to speak in concepts and abstractions rather than exact numbers. And why I should do it much more than I do. But I loath politicians who do it all the time.

My error. ...

RE: Handling *#$@#$@ Cab o Sil (Amorphous Silicon Dioxide, fumed silica)

Haven't gotten round to producing any serious pieces yet. Still testing and building infrastructure. The latest is a sort of jig saw to hot wire styrofoam. Decided I was tired of increasing shop...

RE: Mass blancing ailerons

Noooo, It was the full plane shot that explained it for me. Looking at the dark shot on the bench, I was totally clueless. See that's the thing about already knowing what's about to be said in most...

RE: Mass blancing ailerons

Spoiler, you've got to show both the dark close up shop pix and the well lit pix on the plane. I couldn't figure out what the heck that was when you first posted the dark, tip shot taken in the ...

RE: Mass blancing ailerons

1) I'm not sure what you mean by G can NOT move ailerons, unless you mean the G forces acting directly on the ailerons. That would be true. But the primary cause of flutter is airspeed. Not...

Now, THAT'S what I'M talkin' about, hypersonig!! What is that thing anyway? Sort of an aeronautical cousin to the Jackalope? A jetalope?

Some of you guys say you work designing real...

RE: Mass blancing ailerons

To try and answer the original question, 1) If you know that the plane is prone to flutter at high speeds, you may be just beating yourself over the head trying to fly it faster.

2) Three...

There are currently 20 G2 items for sale on eBay. The controller, program + 2 add on disks are about $125 delivered.

If the real problem is that you don't know how to fly, do two things:

RE: Formosa not taking off

Sorry guys, for my money, and I'm not familiar with this setup at all, any light aircraft that will accelerate for 50 ft and not take off with the recommended propeller, the first thing I'd check is...
