RE: Turbine powered Batwing

Glad to see you're back at it with the Batwing, Rick! How does the intake ducting work on a design like this? I have no experience with turbines, only small EDFs (70mm). From my experience, proper...

RE: Batman Batwing

Hey wojtek, has the Batwing flown? What's the status on this project?

What an awesome jet!

RE: GWS Glow Conversions

Hi Patrick,

Any idea of when you will start the build? I'm just a little anxious to get my bird in the air!

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Don't worry, it gets considerably quieter in the air. Sounds more like a fly buzzing around.

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

That's cool guys. I'm still tweaking mine for more speed (with much appreciated help from Tom) and hopefully mine will scoot like those descriptions soon. I'm going to up my throws today, remove...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Hey guys, is this 777 model going to be nitro powered?

I agree with RealDeal in that my experience with Kamdax has been excellent. Very fast and nice responses to all of my emails. I...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Guys, I have spoken extensively with EasyTiger, who is pretty much a Kamdax EXPERT, and he insists the engine is a .061, that the 80 indeed stands for the fan diameter, and that Tower just has a...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

I'm not using the landing gear. I figure it will just add weight and drag, and with a jet this size, weight needs to be at a minimum. It also looks a lot better in the air without the gear. If I...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Flew the Mig with the cheater hole today. I really couldn't tell much difference in performance. In fact, I think I am going to glue the piece back on.

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Well, after a little discussion with EasyTiger, I have decided to cut a cheater hole in my mig, right where the nose gear would be. He said it would really add some "umph". I have also removed one...

RE: You have GOT to see this:

No, no one forces you to look at it---but when 1) the thread title does not specify what's in the link, and 2) the author doesn't say what's in the link in his post, then it's not like we *know*...

RE: kamdax mig aileron hinge?

I left mine as is and my Mig flies perfectly. By the way, there's already a nice Mig-15 thread in progress here:

WOOOHOOO!! I maidened the Mig about an hour ago and boy was it a HOOT! You guys are going to love this jet. It blew my electric version out of the water (plus it puts out a great smell;) )

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Hey Bill, do post that cleaning method ASAP! I have neglected to clean mine a few times because of how troublesome it is, and now I'm worried that the slime is slowly sinking into the foam.....I...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Yes, I epoxied the horns to the ailerons. I used double sided tape to mount the servos, and they're in there GOOD. That stuff it great. I would also glue the servo covers down. I'll be waiting to...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Johnny C, I glued the mounts down first and then screwed the fan in. Your way would work too, I assume. And yes, you can easily remove the fan unit after it's been screwed down (and after the fuse...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Don't feel bad Johnny. I also chewed up those starter vanes and mine are also half moons. But I filed them down a bit and now they are very clean half-moons, and all the same size, so it's balanced...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Wow--almost makes me want to get another just because it's so cheap!

I'm using 2/3AAA NimH 350mah CBP packs from cheapbatterypacks.com. I almost wish I had gotten slightly bigger packs since...

RE: Kamdax Mig first observations

Ah, that clears it up. My mistake. Whatever it is, it sure is sweet! I wonder if anyone has the .080 upgrade. If I wanted more performance I'd just go to 40% nitro, cut a cheater hole and remove...
