Run a 8l on 8 cells you will be pleased with the result and use a 42mm prop.

.130 sized flex shaft would be fine for what you are trying to do.You would also need a flex hex coupler also to connect the motor shaft to the cable.

that motor should work but get a SS1 or a 700SC motor it will be a blast.as far as glueing the hull i use CA glue for all my ovalmasters works good.
