RE: Start out with FP or CP??

Actually I have been in a full size Helo with a fully articulated head, upsidown, with the tail about 110 degrees from level and it is scary to say the least, but not at all a lawn dart. One of the...

RE: Help with Blade CP

I agree with the rest of the people responding, left is normal due to the tail rotor, right may be the fly bar paddle (my input), and yes in ground effect take off will be altered by turbulence

RE: Start out with FP or CP??

The funny thing is not one manufacturer has gone to what a real helicopter has on it's head....A number of differences. Mostly it is 1960's technology. I wish they would make a current technology head

RE: Help with Blade CP

I was told at the lhs that the fly bar paddles should be flat and even at neutral...that means throttle at low point (for the blade cp, make sure you aren't in the "3d" mode)....also as a prior helo...

RE: My CP's Rotor housing is lose, What do i DO?

On a blade cp the tail rotor is held on by a peice of tubing. I don't know what inner diameter it is because I have not replaced it. So....meanwhile back at the ranch......get a measurement with a...

RE: The best choice Blade CP??

I chose a blade cp for a "newbie" helo. at first it was really hard to fly, but I got used to it. The learning curve was hell, but now I can fly at least 5 min. This is after 3 flights. Just don't...

RE: Engine breakin

I imagine this thread may not be looked at, but are you saying the engine maker's manual should be ignored? What you say makes complete sense (I am not an expert, but I have plenty of mechanical...

RE: Traxxas Revo is a piece of garbage!!!

I am a newbie to the nitro world, just to start off with. I bought a Revo and am extraordinarily pleased with it. I had an electric buggy prior to this truck to get used to driving rc. The break in...

RE: Revo or T-maxx

It depends on what you would like to do with it. I just bought a revo and it is fun to drive and handles like a dream. My brother has an e-maxx (I assume it handles about the same). His truck is...

RE: Aerobird tail adjustments

I finally had my check flight. This thing flew like a dream. I made sure the tail was level with the boom with a caliper and trimed per the manual. Wow flying is fun when you have more control over...

Thrust angles and airfoils

I have a question about thrust angles and airfoils. I would like to build my own foamie flying wing, but I have no idea what the thrust angle should be. I am also confused about the airfoil. I have...

RE: No motor control. Aerobird Extreme

I have seen on some of the threads of the Aerobird Challenger than the motor cuts out because of a flat spot on the TX controller (I have a feeling the contacts are dirty on the rheostat). Hope this...

RE: Beating Electric component overheating

Your motor was trying to draw more current (amperage) than the esc could handle. So it overheated. Batteries usually make heat through discharging too fast because your esc is drawing more current...

RE: bought a firebird scout, good looking plane

Aerobird challenges

I finally found out what was truly causing my Aerobird challenger to "get out of hand" during flights. To my dismay there was a slight bend in the v-tail, and packing tape is not strong enough to fix...

RE: aerobird challenger

I like the ABC. I am not too sure why though, as I have yet to get it to fly properly. I think this is due to poor flying ability (those crashes were spectacular). I flew The firebird outlaw for...
