RE: Check your clunks

If you use the Hayes line, make sure to cut a small peice and use it for a doubler were you hook it to the clunk and the nipple.

I had just replaced my clunk lines with Hayes, and about 4...

RE: Justin's XFC 2007 Demo with Crash!

That kid still amazes me, cant believe the amount of control he has over that heli. I have been flying heli's off and on since'91, and I dont have half the control that Justin has.

Good show...

RE: Trying to decide on plane or helicopter

Keep an eye out on the classifieds here and at runryder. My buddy picked up a used Raptor 50 ready to fly with a JR 8103 radio for $650 from a guy on runryder. Good deals are out there, you just got...

RE: Trying to decide on plane or helicopter

I personally wouldn't touch that heli with a ten foot pole. I can just imagine the tuning nightmares that come with those tiny motors. Then theres parts availability for it also.

RE: Trying to decide on plane or helicopter

If you have absolutely nothing already and need to get everything for a "cheap but not crappy nitro" and your total budget is $700 I would suggest get a plane first. Nitro heli's are expensive to...

RE: IS it good to go ahead and learn with THROTTLE HOLD>>>

Wow, don't know where to start here.

Idle up 1 and 2 are used for aerobatic flight and normal mode is used for hovering or spooling up the head, just depends on how it is setup.

The...

RE: Crashing Unavoidable?

I would be interested in hearing your teaching methods, I had to learn the hard way in '90 by teaching myself because there was noone around to help and no simulators around at that time.

RE: raptor 50 titan problem (BIG ONE)

Sounds like you have more than one problem. First thing you need to do is go here http://www.raptortechnique.com/ and do some reading, its a great site that has taught many many people how to...

RE: keep it cleen ***

I wipe mine down after every flying session, it doesn't take long and gives you a chance to really look over the heli looking for potential problems. If you are having to literally tear it down to...

RE: OS37 vs R50 conversion

There is no replacement for displacement.

I fly a R50 Hyper and I'm loving it, there isnt any question here in my opinion.....get the 50.

RE: I'm I going to be ok?

I agree with skyad, I wouldn't go much past the hovering stage with those servo's in a 50 size machine. The 401/9254 combo you have will be great.

RE: This is wierd. I can't figure it out.

Your flirting with disaster doing any sustained inverted with only 6 1/2 degrees of negative pitch, top that off with a low headspeed and your wallets going to hate you. Have you entertained the...

RE: This is wierd. I can't figure it out.

Did you throw a pitch gauge on it and see what the actual negative pitch is set at? I'm guessing you are throwing about -5 degrees at full down stick instead of 10. The only other thing that could...

RE: IDEA!? RC HELI REPAIR SHOP

IMHO, anyone NOT mechanically inclined should NOT fly helicopters. Heli's are very mechanical and need constant inspections/repairs/adjustments and TLC :D

RE: Need help with a shopping list guys....

You dont need a gyro to stabalize in forward flight, the only gyro you need is for the tail. That $800 radio combo comes with the gyro and tail servo as well as 4 more servo's and all batteries and...
