RE: Cessna 177 on Floats???

Yeah the floats themselves are all the same for the Ready/beaver/cardinal. The difference in the kits is the mounting hardware that comes with each. No one seams to have the correct mounting stuff...

RE: Vortex Generators

To clarify the earlier statement, the dimples in a golf ball actually reduce drag due to increased pressure from behind the ball (this is the result of an attached positive pressure from the...

RE: Futaba 2.4 Gig Faast system help

I bought this TX and promptly returned it after I found it it is impossible to mix dual elevator servos (now standard on even .40 size planes). They removed the option to turn off the switches...

RE: So, What engine is voted best Funtana 90?

My best friend has the 1.50 on his and so far he's flown 10 gallons of fuel through with no visible signs of fatique - and he flys the crap out of it. Does seem like it might be a little to much...

RE: Funtana 90!

Relax motodude... Yes you can put your ST2300 on the Funtana. You will have the following modifications. If you want a good cowl spacing, you have to move the firewall back about an inch (no bid...

RE: Funtana 90!

JohnG has a good point- a really good piont that I too thought had a lot do with it. Anytime you power planes outside of the mfg's recommended engine you normally end up with a plane that doesn't...

RE: Funtana 90!

My best friend mounted the Saito 1.50 in his Funtana and still needed nose weight to balance the thing (but I think it was roughly only 2 oz) I should note however that he was not impressed, nor was...

RE: Funtana 90!

I have a jett 1.20 on mine and it needed 12 oz. of weight to ballance. I ended up having to run twin 5 cell packs, a 1 oz spinner weight, and a 5 oz chrome plated brass spinner nut plus 3 oz of lead...

RE: Funtana 90!

I saw the plane fly at Joe Nall and it was absolutely amazing! For those of you who've flown the 40 - take it's flight charaterstics and multiply them by 10 (if it's possible). Engine was a Saito...

RE: RE: RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale <span class=

If you want to run different voltages for servos/receiver you need to get a servo isolator. Before I tell you what it is, I must comment that 6 volts to a receiver is not a problem at all! I run it...

RE: RE: RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale <span class=

I think your ST would work great :) I wouldn't suggest using a smoke system though- weight is not your friend and ST is not a friend of light weight... Your call though. I'll tell you this, while...

Feels funny saying that because my name is Ray too... I know you already have a moki 1.80 - but if you really want to make this plane come allive, run the 2.10 - you might as well -...

RE: RE: RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale <span class=

Ray,
I used Robart on my Extra- since I put the 35cc glow in... The only problems I've had is with the rudder- I've reglued them 2 times now... And yes, engine mount will fit your 1.80

RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale <span class=

Slingshot that thing looks ready to me! Forget the ballancer- it makes life more exciting not to use one- go fly! Just kidding... But do let me know how it goes.

RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale <span class=

Basinbum,
Thanks for the clarification - I thought Hulley was running the 2.10... Also - I'm not too worried about the ballance because I'm running an internal 3 ft. tuned slilencer to the rear......
