RE: Aerobird - check this after a nose hit

I enclosed my board in a cage of 2 zip ties. One zip tie goes around it horizontally, the other vertically. Both zip ties loop in and out of the fuselage.

RE: The other side of tiered membership...

All of this bickering and politics is precisely the reason why you will never see me joining the AMA with my foam/plastic electric park flyers. I got into the hobby because I wanted to fly. Let's...

RE: PZ J-3 Wing Braces and Erratic Flight?

I braced my Aerobird challenger's wings with stainless steel deep sea fishing wire. It works great. It stays tight, and doesnt stretch. I'd say make your braces, tight, but not so tight that you...

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Hey Glacier Girl, what parts did you use for your retracts? Does your tail wheel retract and steer? Also, where did you get the 4 blade prop?

RE: ParkZone P-51 Mustang RTF

Hey everybody. I just recently got a PZ Typhoon, and I love it!! Anyway, I also have a PZ 51, but I rarely fly it because I dont like the performance. I was thinking about putting Typhoon...

BCP Motors Not Running

Neither my main motor or my tail motor will run when I push the throttle up on my Blade CP. I get proper response from the servos though. The LED on the gyro goes solid red after blinking after the...

RE: Super Decathlon Not Flying

OK, I sanded the down angle out of the firewall. Do I need to remove any of the right angle offset as well?

RE: Important information????

My understanding of Spread Spectrum was that it just searches for a clear and most ideal channel. It only has something like 80 possiblities. I'm talking of actually encrypting the signal sent by...

RE: Important information????

The only way to solve this is to use technology to do so (see my previous post). This country has enough regulations and legalities already. Let's keep the hobby what it should be: fun with flight.

RE: Important information????

Why not just develop a TX/RX system that uses a digital encrypted signal that relies on set algorithms to prevent interference. Kind of like your remote keyless entry for your car works. When you...

RE: park flyers against the law in ingham county MI

I just read on our local government's Parks and Recreation website that a park very close to me has a field that was built and set aside specifically for RC Airplanes, and it's not owned/ ruled by...

RE: Super Decathlon Not Flying

OK, this speed vs. thrust thing is confusing me. I would think that if thrust increased, speed would also. Is the reduced speed related to the extra drag of the prop? Please educate me. I thought...

RE: Super Decathlon Not Flying

You recommend a 9X7 prop for this motor. I see that the general rule of thumb for a 3 blade prop is to subtract 1" or 1 degree of pitch. So, that being said... would a 9X6 3 blade prop work?

RE: needin' help (as usual)

Yeah, it's all they are talking about in the news here in the Cape Canaveral area. I hope it stays to the south. Dont want the shuttles to be exposed to it. They still havent totally fixed the...

RE: AEROBIRD EXTREME MODS!

I figured out how to stop having to fuss with those damn fishing lines. Take a small pushrod and clevis. Cut the end of the pushrod off, so that you are left with just the threaded portion and...

RE: F27 STRYKER,WAY PAST THE LIMITS! Part 3

Does anybody know what the motor shaft diameter is for the stock Stryker 480 motor? I'm guessing it is 2 mm or 2.3mm... hard to tell using just a ruler.

RE: AEROBIRD EXTREME MODS!

Apparently, the new Firebird Freedom will have pushrods. It will be interesting to see how they have that set up since that is a pod and boom airplane.
