Might wanna look at the slipper pegs and spring tension. Turn the spring all the way in and then back it out about 1/4 turn.

Yeah XXXmain is the way to go. Just don't use regular printer paper, I've experimented with printer paper and the paint bleeds right threw unless one applies XXXmain to the back of the pic to protect...
