quick question, what are your needle settings in a rs4 18ss? hsn and lsn?

i heard a universal setting for the low speed needle is flush with the nut that holds the lsn but mine seems to be no...

hmm ok then. next time i give it a go ill warm it up and slowly lean out the hsn first, then the lsn.
all this stuffing around sux man! i cant drive my nitro in front of my house either :(

its a CEN one. a small silver one. its designed to engage when the reciever batteries drop below a certain voltage or when the reciever loses signal with the transmitter.

is glitching a common problem on the rs4 rtr evo or 18ss?

because all my wiring is bundled up and packed up in the removable electrics housing/box or whatever its called, i get really bad...

i guess u could always increase the throttle trim to increase the carb opening to help start the car then reduce the trim once started and warmed up.

so u can still accurately set your HSN whilst your LSN is a little out, but you cant set your LSN properly if your HSN is outta wack?
is that how is works?

actually it was my idle screw! lol

still have a little problem though, not getting enought power up top and low aswell.
have a steady stream of blue smoke but no where near the power a 18ss...

so when i start the car, the transmitter should be turned off so i can manually set the carb to 1/4 open, then once she is started THATS WHEN i turn on the transmitter to get the carb back to 1.5mm...

ok cool thanks for that. got her starting ok now.

it only seems to idle for about 20-30sec and when i give it throttle to keep it alive it dies.

i got my high speed needle 3 turns out from...

what sucks even more is that each time i pull it unsuccessfully more and more fuel is entering the carb making it even harder to start!!!! :(

pvc with tape wrapped around them seems to drift AWESOME!!!

put lots of tape on em!!



only downside is that if u are drifting on rough concrete it tends to shred the tape a bit.

use sandpaper, get a rough grit and a smooth grit, use the rough first then the smooth.

if u spend enough time and patience with it u will get some great results.
