Chipmonk with flaps

Powered mine with a ST 61- Plenty of power and just a really fun airplane. Put flaps on- they aren't needed as it slows down just fine, but they are a lot of fun, and they look good! Enjoy!!

3 blade for Saito 91?

Anyone have any experience with a Saito 91 using a 3 blade prop? I'm putting one in a Tiger II 60 and want to keep a low profile with the landing gear. I'm looking at 12x6, 12x8 or 13x8. Input please?

RC in Ohio

Well, I don't know about Missouri and Kentucky, but here in Ohio I have never met an RC'r who wasn't personable and eager to help any novice. We love to share our hobby and I can't understand why it...

AMA helpful to modelers???

Here's another example of the worthlessness of the AMA. The Torry Pines field in California was closed to RC in August of this year because in the words of the AMA "misinformation" between the lessee...

Mech retracts

I have made the long arduous journey through the mechanical world and have had nothing but trouble. I fly from a grass field which is most times very smooth. I have used Great Planes, Hobbico, and...

Falcon 4.0

Anyone know how to turn off the broad screaming "Bingo" in your ear? It is on the flameout landing and she is really annoying. Great sim. Most realistic since the EF2000.

I have a Great Planes Cap 21. It is a great looking plane. It is powered by a ST45, Pitts muffler. I just flew it again this past weekend, and I'm amazed all over again, just as I am every time I fly...

landings

Steve-o
You will soon learn one of the oddities of RCing is that generally the best landings anyone makes are the "dead stick" variety. Why? No one knows but I think it is because you know you only...

Ace P51 report

I picked up a P51 Mustang kit from Ace, the Simple Series, powered with a Norvell .074. What a blast to fly. The .061 flys it but the .074 makes it perform. It takes some getting used to after...

Where's Epic RC

Anyone know what happened to Epic RC? Bought two of their kits and liked them very much. They even called me to see how I got along with them. Very nice people. Then all of a sudden, they were gone.

wheels

I also just finished a 120, using 3 1/2" wheels and they work fine.
The wheel pants fit the 3 1/2 inchers although I don't use them as I fly from a grass field.

Cloud Dancer ARF

I had the 40 sized kit, not art, and with a ST51 is was a 100mph + airplane. Handled really nice. It also had a plastic cowl and pants, but we don't use pants on our grass field.
