My DLEs have been good so far. They have been dependable for me so I think they are a good value.
I don't own one of the overpriced engines so I can't say what tier they belong in.

I have used 42% products and RCexl an never had any trouble.
I have started using the RCexl w/ BEC on planes smaller than 50cc.

RE: Hangar 9, 1.50 P-51

Why are you obsessing over the scale look and size of the prop for a Hangar 9, 1.50 P-51?
The only time you are going to notice the prop is a 4 blade is when the engine is shut down.

RE: Sad day for gas engines - Pe Rievers

Truly sad, condolences to his family.
Pe Rievers was one of the reasons I loved to hang out in the engine forum. He was such a wealth of technical information. I wish I had the opportunity to have...

RE: 83 year old American Spitfire pilot

Goodness, some of you people will find something wrong with anything. Who cares what the landing was called technically?
You missed the whole point of the story.

RE: Dle35r to be mounted in a ESM Stuka

The dowel and plywood template method works great.
Take a piece of plywood large enough to mark the mounting holes from a template. Drill guide holes where the bolts will go. Also drill 3/8" hole...

RE: TF GIANT P-47.

Another vote for 645's. They have all the power you will ever need for a 1/5 scale warbird and you get a lot of bang for you buck.
Digitals are fine if you have the money and that is what you want...

RE: Nose Art & Squadron Insignia / P-47

I have used Krylon clear matt and satin spray on my planes in the past over covering with great effect. I'm all gas so I don't have to worry about glow fuel proofing.

Watch this field assembly of...

RE: Two Stroke Oils

I use the same gas/oil mixture in practically all my small gas engines.
