RE: YAK 54 - 60 SIZE ENGINE FROM SEAGULL ANYONE?

Got the yak a while ago.....it has a saito .91 with hitec-625s and a 645 on the rudder (very much overkill for this plane.)
For great performance this really needs more than the .91 4s. I may be...

RE: Seagull Superstar 120

RE: RPM's for ST 2300

Bax

I am not going for all out speed, but when I was doing my bench running I was taking temp readings as well. With the 18-6 the temp was 250-260 degrees F. With the 16-6 the temp was around...

RPM's for ST 2300

I have a new st 2300 going into a super star 1.20 with 3/4 of a gallon of 5% Nitro fuel through it on the test stand. It has been running great but I just need some clarification. Using a 18-6 wide...

RE: Gyro Installation in the Axe CP

i just installed the 240 gyro and test flew it. The 240 works great, by far the best upgrade you can do for this heli. Tail stays solid, although i am still fine tuning the gain. But with the...

RE: ASP .91 two stroke

I got the 5% nitro (is 29% castor oil too high?) and an a5 plug and ran the motor. I was able to get it to optimum rpm with a 14-5 wood prop and to transition from idle to top end without any bog...

RE: ASP .91 two stroke

I talked to the engine guru at my field and he said that the motor is not even fully broken in, i guess there is some binding at the top of the stroke so the piston is still rubbing against the top....

RE: ASP .91 two stroke

So with the 5% nitro i would prop down to something like a 13-6? it has a 14 8 on it, that is what it came with.

RE: ASP .91 two stroke

Is it common to run below 5% nitro in a 91 two stroke. Does the higher nitro make the combustion happen prior to the piston reaching the top of its stroke thus making it crap out? Does anyone know...

I recently was given this bi-plane. It has a 58 inch wingspan with an asp .91 two stroke which i think is the first generation of asp motors. I'm not entirely sure. It has a fat fuse especially...
