Slotting Aluminum Spinner?

I came up with a more effecient way to use my dremel. I use a 1/4" router bit. If you're CAREFUL, it works excellently. A profile gage (from the hardware store) is a great way to transfer the...

What's the best gasser to use in place of a Saito 180?

I also vote for the FPE. I've flown 2 Different Sig Extras. The first one with a Saito 1.80 and 18x6 prop. Excellent plane, needed lots of nose weight. After this one bit it, I liked it so much,...

Strange DA100 issues

I had the first flight on my DA100 powered Velox this weekend. Everything was great except that when I roll the airplane at anything less than full throttle the engine sounds like it's going to die...

Slimline Showtime Smoke Unit (vs. TME)

Don't overlook the new Sullivan unit either. I picked one of these up at Toledo, and it works great. It's pretty much the same as the slimline without the battery. It has a speed control in it...

Aero-works Edge Kits Discontinued?

Yes, the D&L Designs kits are built up wings. The wings are very light weight and have excellent rotational damping.

Why SIG Extra 300 XS so tail heavy????

I've had 2 of these planes. The first was powered by a Saito 1.80. Great combo swinging an 18x6 mez. prop. My balanced by putting a 4 sub-c cell 1500 mah pack on the tank cover and still had to...

I too was a little disappointed. This is the second show I've been to (1st was 2 years ago). The main floor vendors didn't have "great" deals, but there were a few. One of the few things I bought...
