RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey link,

You are gonna love the Do. I've had mine for two years. I like the CG at 6 1/4. It squats a bit going downwind but it is a blast to fly. I have the throws maxed on high rates and...

RE: Just for Fun

I had a 14x4w on it with no problem. Dropped down to a 13. The OS 70 likes it better. YS 63 should be fun in this.

RE: Just for Fun

I purchased that YAK 55" from Nitro and it is a fun flying plane. 3D's OK with an OS 70FL. I was surprised at the quality of the arf. The manual was terrible though. But for the price...

RE: Seagull Superstar 120

I am finally getting ready to maiden my SS120. It is balancing at 4 3/4" back from the root. I like an aft CG but I'm not how the SS likes it. What's a 1/4" anyway?

Kurt: How far back have...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Mine changes from day to day. One day it will sound like a snare drum then the next it is relatively quiet. I have tried heating the covering with a gun or an iron and it doesn't seem to make a...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

I have an OS 70 ready for this plane. It should be just right with a 14x4w or 13x4w.

From the rear the stab is high left and low right. The hole in the fuse on the left side looks like it is...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

I got to putting the tail feathers on and noticed the Horiz stab isn't just as DanHudson mentioned on his. Mine is 2 to 3 degrees off and I will work on shaving and shimming this week. I have...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Yea I get the picture. The slots in the fuse for the stab wasn't in line with the wing tube. I will check that carefully. I will make sure everything is lined up before making any joints...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Thanks danhudson I recall your post from earlier. I am going to go over this carefully. The fuse is very light. I will go over it with some epoxy or CA and stiffen/ hearden eveything.

Thanks...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Just received mine and took a quick look over. The tail feathers look good. Seem solid and all the same thickness. Overall the plane looks good. I haven't checked the hardware pack but I'm sure...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Got to Do it today after a month of 'no fly'. Feel much better now.

I changed to an APC 13x4w down from a 14x4w and the OS 70 Surpass II seems much happier. Climb out seemed the same,...

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Ordered one on Saturday. Looks like I got the last one. They are sold out now. Hope I didn't get the leftovers. We'll see when I get it. UPS says it will be here on Monday. Got an OS FL-70...

RE: Peakmodel Extra 260 25%

I am really interested in the extra with the 26cc. Let me know how the power matches with this plane. I am thinking of the 40cc but don't want the extra weight if the 26cc will have decent power.

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Keep us posted on what happens. I am probably still going to get this plane. I have been trying to avoid a YAK but it keeps pulling me in.

RE: Nitro Models Yak 52?

Is it just me or does that CA hinge look dry. It is probably just the camera angle.

Good job on getting the bird back on the ground Wing Ding. I am still on the fence on getting this plane. ...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

My Do with an OS 70 Surpass II vibrates around 1/2 throttle. Sounds like a Snare Drum. Low end is fine and WOT going vertical is fine. It must vibrate at the same harmonic as the wing at 1/2. ...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

What a good day Do'in it. I got three really good rolling circles. The hovers are getting better. The OS 70 is pulling alot better after 3.5 gallons. The OS is just sipping the fuel. What a...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Sorry to hear about your midair Barry. It was one of those weekends.

I had a flutter problem on my super sportster and the elevator jammed full up. Minor damage and a couple hundred yard...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

After moving the CG back I still wasn't able to flatten out my spins either upright or inverted. So i put longer arms on the elevator servos to give them a little more advantage. The surfaces...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

I finally had a chance to move the cg back. It ended up about 6.25" The weather was crappy with a cold light rain and wind about 15 but I had to fly. As soon as I got up and trimmed out it started...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Got to the field today a little late (10:30 am) and nobody was there! I flew a gallon of gas. Without any interruptions. It was a bit windy but it was a load of fun. Had a few scary moments...

RE: New mini Raven 49"

The Raven flies sweet. The wing looks a bit like an Edge with the straight LE. Do you have an estimated price point for this beautiful bird? I am just about ready to purchase the Seagull Extra...
