Replace the tail with the shorter tail boom that comes with the 117, install all hardware for that tail to include the tail feathers, remove that slow motor and install a Brushless w/matching ESC,...

As with any RC chassis, there is the ability to modify, turn buckles are one of those mod's. However, I would look into replaceing w/original front end parts for the arm assemblies, use turn buckles...
