Built one of these after wanting one for quite a while. FANTASTIC portable flyer. Keep the wieght low - mine came in - I think a hair less than 3.5 lbs.

Thanks for all of the replies. Based on Lou Melanocn's advice I got the OS .15 - I ordered another after I saw him mix it up with a squadron of 25fx bandits last saturday and was quite competitive...

I use it as the leading edge of the flying surfaces. Eliminates te need to make 45 degree surfaces for hinging.

Finished and flew my Pen Knife last weekend.

Here are the details:

Build as light as posible - came in at just under 2 3/4 lbs - eliminated shear webs, lots of sanding, etc.

Here's mine - went a little crazy with the corian top - but perfectly flat and anything scrapes off with a razor blade.

Plan to use 3000 and 3300 mah batteries and run on the street in front of my house and on a track at the club near my house (Sugarbowl, Suwanee, GA)....
