RE: FLIGHTPOWER EVOLIGHT2S 1600MAH

http://www.commonsenserc.com/product_info.php?cPath=37_31&products_id=47

This battery came with the Vendetta ST I bought used. It's only 10C, but the 2000mah capacity counterbalances this...

RE: Novak GTB 6.5 vs. Mamba Max 5700

http://www.b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=c_MambaMax5700

Under $180 with free shipping. Can't beat that. They also have the sidewinder for under $130, but you would definitely want to get the USB...

RE: Novak GTB 6.5 vs. Mamba Max 5700

I have run both of those setups in a Stampede. The 5700 is much more powerful at the expense of run time. I never ran the setups with the same gearing, but the 5700 geared 21/87 was faster, had more...

RE: Brand Recommendation for Lipo 11.1

The thing with True R/C packs is that they are actually rated closer to their real capabilities than other budget packs like MaxAmps. My True R/C 80 amp 8000mah 10c packs perform better than my 120...

RE: E-Savage or E-maxx

The way I see it, nitros can be fun if you have a ton of time to dedicate to the hobby. For people who only run once or twice a week like me, the ability to charge up batteries in advance and go out...

RE: Protek 4000mah 2s Review

The dimensions and weight are a bit different, so the cells probably aren't the same as Maxamps. Also, the Proteks can be charged at 2c unlike the Maxamps. If anything, those packs are superior to...

RE: New Feigao sensored motors (IFMAR Approved!)

All Duratrax cars are relabeled from another manufacturer.
Velociti brushless motors are the same ones mentioned in the first post.
Traxxas Titans are $18 stickers put on $2 drill motors.

RE: Do non electric (normal) savage hop ups fit on my E-savage?

The arms definitely won't work. Several people have tried them without success. Same deal with the chassis. Basically nothing except for shocks will fit on both.

RE: s600s in e maxx

I have to agree with hemiblas. The Super Duty is about $160 and then the two S-600s are about $30. That's as much as I paid for my Mamba Max/Feigao 7XL. The MM at b-p-p.com is only around $110...

RE: stronger / better: e-maxx or e-savage

In my experience, the driveshafts hold up well, even with BL/Lipo. I've broken two so far; one on an awkward landing from about 6 feet up onto rough terrain and the other from doing standstill...

RE: stronger / better: e-maxx or e-savage

I've had the exact same experience with both trucks. The only people that say the E-Maxx is stronger seem to be the ones who haven't had both.

RE: brushless system for me..

The Novak is the only current all inclusive brushless setup for monster trucks. Unfortunately, it is also one of the weakest systems.

Ultimate setup would be something like this:

MGM...

RE: Wairth 7k and mamba 25 speed controller

My Wraith 7k/Mamba 25 has been holding up great on 2s and 3s lipo in my RC18t. You might want to go for the Quark 33 just to be safe with the extra weight of the Mini-LST.

RE: Best Brushless motors

Feigao should not be with those other brands and certainly not ahead of Plettenberg. $47.50 for a Feigao 8xl vs. $360 for a BigMaxximum with a fan. You get what you pay for.

As others have said,...

RE: Mamba Max 5700 VS OS .18 CV-RX (for grass)

When my E-Savage was stock it was definitely easier to drive on grass than my 5700 pede. It's not going to be as fast as the .18 unless you go brushless, though.

How tall is the grass, by the...

RE: Takedown's B-Warhead Build

1500kv sounds way too low. It would take 40v to reach 60,000rpm.

I remember reading somewhere that the XLT-1 was the same thing as a Feigao 6xl which puts it around 2779 kv. Assuming the...

RE: Mamba Max 5700 VS OS .18 CV-RX (for grass)

The 4wd is going to do better in grass no matter what. The stampede isn't really made for driving in grass. A brushless E-maxx or E-Savage vs. the nitro would be a different story, but nitro is the...

RE: E-Savage Simple Brushless System By KLO

I use lowest motor timing (Mamba Max) and a 17t pinion. The motor is about 160F after a hard run. Climbing gravel hills is much harder on the motor than the jumping and mild hill climbing I do on...

RE: E-Savage Simple Brushless System By KLO

Do you know how the Kershaw shocks are different from normal Nemesis shocks? I run 4 normal Nemesis shocks and they mount up just fine on my E-Savage. I think Kershaw is screwing people.

That...

RE: e-savage brushless project ( with pics!)

6cell nimh is the absolute maximum length. I would have rather gone for the 6400s but they were simply too long. I'm not a huge Maxamps fan in general, but the size is perfect for cars.

RE: e-savage brushless project ( with pics!)

Maxamps 6000s aren't perfect fits in the E-Savage. They fit in the boxes but are too tall to close all the way. I use them by putting them in the boxes and then wrapping velcro around the chassis to...

RE: What are good nitro chassis to convert to electric

I just picked up a nice modified rtr Revo 3.3 for about $330 on ebay. I also saw some comparable rollers go for $240-260 and even some 2.5 rollers for about $180, but I figured I could make up the...

RE: clicking now its seresous

Age is no excuse for laziness. Typing isn't hard.

Anyway, sounds like an idler gear to me. Mine stripped too once I started using brushless. That's a pretty common problem with the Stampede. If...

RE: mamba 6800 vs. wraith 7k

I've run both in my RC18t on 2s and 3s lipos.

6800 Pros

-Longer run time
-More controllable
-Cooler speed control
-Slightly cheaper
-Easier on drive train
