RE: A v-spec to power a CRT?

I used to run both a V-Spec and a Nova 28 in my CRT, but it was substantially better with the OS. Everyone I know that has both a high end .21 and .28 prefers the .21 in a truggy. The power delivery...

RE: losi 8ight diff cases worn out in 1 gallon?

I've had the same diff wear issue with my 8T after about 2 gallons. I think it's normal wear for these trucks.

RE: mbx5t prospec or losi 8ight t ?????

I still have both, but I never drive the MBX5T anymore. The 8T just has a hyper, quick handling, and stable jumping feeling that I love. They both weight about the same, but the 8T feels 25% lighter...

RE: revo vs. jammin

After owning a few of each, I would take just about any truggy over a Revo.

RE: Offical Mugen MBX5T thread

I've run the 528XR in my 5T a few times, but it's not a very good match with the truck. The 528 has lots of low end torque, so you wind up with tons of wheel spin and stability issues at slow speeds,...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Yes, the red is strong thread lock. A few guys thought it was oil, and put it in the diffs. Not good!

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

I wish, but from the pictures I can't see how we're going to use the same box for both. The length is way different.

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

I roughed up the tank with a file, then used shoe goo. No problems with the clips falling off.

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

The older DX2 and DX3 don't have EXP, the current DX2.0 and 3.0 do have it.

RE: OS Vspec question.....here we go again

5 liters (just over one gallon) is way less lifespan than most report for a V-Spec, even the people who don't like them get more than that.

One of my V-Spec is at 5 gallons, 19 liters, and is...

RE: OS Vspec question.....here we go again

I'm glad you found it, thanks. The Pirate, and any sponsors he finds for his site, are going to get an earfull from me about their ethics.

RE: OS Vspec question.....here we go again

It looks like "Pirate RC" (a fitting name) stole my pictures and even my post text for his own site. What a tool. The complete discussion is here: ...

RE: Losi 8ight flywheel problem on V-Spec

Yep, I'm using the brass collar, no shims behind the flywheel.

RE: Losi 8ight flywheel problem on V-Spec

I have a V-Spec in my 8ight, but the flywheel fits just like any other clutch/engine. I have to use the puller to get it off. I have two of the Losi flywheels and they both fit the same, so it seems...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Also, make sure you have quality batteries in the starter box. My Mugen is very weak with cheaper 1500-1800 nicads in it, it does much better with nimh 3800s.

Are you heat it with a real heat...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

The red tube is definitely thread lock, PERMANENT red thread lock. They don't give you any bearing oil with the kit because the bearings have grease sealed inside from the factory.

RE: Offical Mugen MBX5T thread

I bought it through one of the guys in Japan that's selling them on eBay. It took 4 working days to get here, not too bad. It was also $60 cheaper than Amain will be selling them for here in the US,...

RE: Offical Mugen MBX5T thread

You dog! :D

I wound up buying a set of Bowtie MTRs for mine, and they came with the molded foams. Weird, because the last set of these tires I bought came with standard foams. I think I'm...

RE: Wheeling truggy

You just need the right motor. If the traction is there, my 528XR powered CRT can pull wheelies even with 20K in the center diff. It's pretty funny to put in a bunch of laps at the local outdoor...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

JP1 here too. I've tried lots of pipes with my two V-Specs, but I always come back to the JP-1. At least wiith the EBMod V-Spec (haven't tried the regular version), there's still plenty of top end...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

I have that 5AA hump pack in my 8ight, but it doesn't fit too well. You have to remove all the foam from the battery box, and even then the cover is jammed on. The side of the lower battery is also...
