RE: How To Lock The Redcat BackDraft 3.5-8e- Volcano-Aftershock-Earthquake Front & Rear Differentials

Haven't seen that solution before ;) Let us know how it holds up over time.

Personally, I just use a standard 8th scale buggy/truggy heavy weight diff oil. Might try this on the center diff...

RE: Strange Symptom (Backdraft 8e)

The reverse issue is actually a feature on the ESC, its a reverse lockout that allows a short delay before sending the reverse signal to help with drivetrain longevity and control.

RE: aftershock 8e

Run times are consistently 20+ minutes on my Aftershock 8E. The wall charger that comes with the kit is still in the box. I used it once, took a little over 2 hrs ea. to charge the batteries. I've...

RE: aftershock 8e

You're basically making a jumper... take a deans with leads and solder them together. This way your completing the circuit and allowing for one battery operation. It leaves a lot of extra wire, so if...

RE: aftershock 8e

Looking at the pics it appears that the Earthquake has an additional upper support link connecting to the top of the c-hub, back to the bulkhead.

No schematic available yet and I haven't...

RE: after shock disappointment

Great idea on the fix, didn't know the Traxxas parts would interchange that well[8D].

I like it, I'll definitely keep a set or two of those in the pit box.

Still eagerly awaiting Darin's...

RE: aftershock/backdraft 8e big dissapointment need help

WOW - Thanks for the update Darin!

How many other manufacturers actually get online in a public place (in 'use-my-keyboard-as-a-weapon' setting no less) and legitimately discuss their product,...

RE: Best Place To Get RedCat Parts & Most Commonly Broken Parts

Thanks for the welcome.

I would like to submit a bit of a list for the Aftershock crowd. This can include the Backdraft and Earthquake as well since they share the platform, although I don't...

RE: Aftershock 8E servo rocks back in forth

Update - I tried the lexan trick under the servo, works like a champ. I would prefer the Urc method though, just a better permanent solution. The lexan trick works though without modification so I...

RE: racing redcat products

I have raced my Aftershock 8E indoors on carpet in a 1/10 scale short course open class. Other racers didn't know what hit'em ;) especially when I grabbed a handful of throttle and bolted on by.

Regarding the front hub issue...
My Demo Aftershock 8E has experienced failures similar to yours. It was caused by the hinge pins not being properly secured and backing their way out. By the...

RE: Redcat 2.4GHz radio

I've had nothing but good luck with my Redcat products to date, and the DSM-2C system is probably top of the heap as far as quality goes. Especially at that price.
I prefer it over the...

RE: Aftershock 8E servo rocks back in forth

I've got an 8E on order and I'll check that out when it gets here. Is there a possibility the fasteners are too long and not allowing a snug fit? I have yet to get my grimey mits on one and I've been...
