Does anyone know where this model is still in stock. I cannot find anywhere in UK/ Europe with it. Will it be available after the larger version is released.

RE: Love that GBY

Does anyone know if there is any historical basis for the black and yellow scheme. This looks better to me but I can only seem to find photos of the original in red and white.

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

My Texan has flown at last. G26 is absolutely fantastic in this model. Weight 16lbs, no flaps, balanced without additional weight with battery well forward. Robart 620 gear and Dubro 4.5 wheels....

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

Hi. Rcpilot 78/Dlevett,
Great updates on this model after a quiet period. The flap detail is much appreciated. My model is very nearly ready but without flaps, I probably will retro fit after some...

RE: HELP AND TIPS WITH C 160

Hi, If you go back some time on this forum you'll find plenty of comment on this plane. I have one which flies on OS 25LAs with absolutely no problem. I would think that your 40 LAs are too much...

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

I think some of the Midwest Texans came out at this weight or even heavier and that kit was designed witout flaps so your model shoul do fine. Let us know how the first flight goes. Did you mount...

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

Good to hear from you again. The thread had gone a bit dead. I look forward to hearing how the first flight goes. What do you reckon the weight is now with the mods. The problem with my 620 retracts...

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

Thanks guys. I was thinking along the lines of using an epoxy of some kind as a levelling compound as suggested. Maybe Plastic Padding Chemical Metal. I was surprised to find retracts of this price...

RE: CMP 160 sized Texan

Thanks a lot, they look really well. Its a neat job. Turn the 1/2 forks around to lay on the inside of the wheel well and it will look even better, as per full size.

RE: Flair 1/4 Scale PT-17 Stearman Review

I thought your use of 3deg of down and right thrust was interesting, now we have some forces acting at different angles to produce a good state of trim. If we can tolerate an unscale thrustline...
