RE: HANGAR 9 Piper J-3 Cub 40 Conversion

Hi,
I also converted a Hangar 9 80 inch Cub to electric. It flys great. A real floater. I use a 4 cell lipoly, 500watt brushless direct drive.
It flys better than it did with a 4 stroke.

Left rudder causes dive and right roll.

P factor is supposed to have some effect when in a climb. I know it is there but I dont fully understand it. I tried to demo the effect using a large gyroscope and it seemed to work. During ground...

I guess inflation has set in for opinnions also. Randy's price went up to $0.20. I do have a question, do most of the chargers detect the heat of the battery pack? I build most of the chargers I need...

What do the battery specs say about fast charging.
I have about 2 doz of Toshiba 2 amp/hr size A cells. There is a A size that can be fast charged at about 1.5 amp/hrs but Red suggests .200 amps....

C-130 firebomber crash

I would imagine that if the crew had any clue that there was a problem they would have aborted the high G dump run. I also suspect that the main supporting spars and joints , etc . will be closely...
