RE: ULTRA RC KATANA XTREME - new release

I'm in the exact same boat. I've got one new in box as well. I will eventually build it and think it will be awesome. I plan to change out the gear and maybe the control horns. But everything...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

I'm in the minority here (since I'm using glow FX 1.60), but I have a rudder pull pull setup and the battery located on the tray up in the nose. I'm at work and not sure of the exact CG, but it...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Anybody have recommended 3D settings (throws, expo) they could share? I've got my OS 1.60 all broken in and would like to try some new things (at a safe altitude of course!). I'm on a DX7 radio so...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

If you are dead set on gas, then so be it. But find me a post wherein somebody installed an OS 1.60 in this plane and hasn't then been having a lot of fun? No CG issues, tons of power/vertical...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

No problem. Yeah, it's a Slimline Pitts style. Fit great with some trimming of the underside of the cowl and the engine/muffler match seems great.

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Ok here's a flight report...although I'm not sure it will be of much value to you guys since mine is powered with OS 1.60 glow (with which by the way, the CG worked out great although after flying...

RE: Moki 180 or OS160 ?

Big S,

The OS 1.60 fits EASILY in the GP SU31. I'm just finishing mine up. I have had multiple people tell me the OS 1.60 is plenty for this plane. Our forecast is for pretty good weather Mon...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Testors is the mfg. It's called 'Racing Finish' window tint. Product# on the can is RC294. I put about 15 thin coats on. I wanted the canopy to be dark and on my first effort, I put too much on...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

ok thx. Yes, I was careful about the shavings. I think I got them. I actually held the engine up in the air and drilled the tap so that most of the shavings remained in the hole or fell back out...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Ok, thanks. I'll let you know how it goes. Do you favor any particular fuel over another given the engine/pump combo? Sounds like you had a lot of great flights (doubt it was luck). I'm pretty...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

I tapped the case by drilling all the way through the upper left back case plate mounting screw hole. Then, I found there was valve stem I could buy that would thread into that hole. It is an O.S....

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Hi Don,

Yes. From the fuel tank I have 3 lines. The 'fill' line is hanging freely and not attached to anything. The 'other' fuel line is attached to the pump (and from the pump to the needle...

RE: Spektrum DX-7

Thanks for all the feedback on the pull pull setup I'm working on. Goose, I had done that separate mix for the gear and it didn't turn off the switch. I guess I should have messed with it further,...

RE: Moki 180 or OS160 ?

RE: Moki 180 or OS160 ?

Mike, where can I find a pre-made double servo arm? I've searched Tower and this site, can't find any. I read about it in your review of the SP SU31 3D. I'm an ok modeler, but have never done a...

RE: Moki 180 or OS160 ?

Rocketman, THANK YOU for the pics. Does the pump come with the mounting hardware? I figure it must. Is it difficult to "tap" the crankcase? Answer one question, get 2 more...
