7D carb on a G2500

I have been getting mixed opinions on using medium or large fuel tube on a G2500 with a OS 7D carb. Anyone got 2 cents on this?

The last set lasted about 25-30 flights. Thanks for the reply though. BTW what head speed are you running on yours? I have been running mine at 1800.

Raptor 90 TR gears

I just lost my third set of gears in my TR. I have tried shimming both ways, and even no shims. They are meshing correctly with a bit of a gap so its not that they are too tight together. Just keep...

RE: Autorotation tail drive kit?

I think Hirobo changed the part number to 0402-580 and raised the price on those to 19.95. You gonna try it out? I was just east of you last week flying off the New Jeruselum air strip and saw they...

RE: How far can I push it?

You dont need a governor to start out doing 3D. Just set your idle up throttle curve to a set rpm, say 75-90 percent and just fly the collective. As far as authorative, how much expo do you have on...

RE: Hirobo Shuttle (dont know model)

So what head speed you getting? Maybe try inhibiting 2 and 4 so it splits the difference from low to mid and mid to high. Unless I misunderstood (which happens alot to me) 10 percent of 5 degrees...

RE: Hirobo Shuttle (dont know model)

You have a tach that you can see what head speed you are getting? Loose blade grips will make it jump around when you shut the throttle. Are you using an idle up switch? Does your radio have a hover...

RE: Loss of fuel pressure

mtahobbies.com has a header tank for the raptor that is cheaper I think. BTW 5 feet and below is a great height to practice hover autos. If I knew how to work my camera I could post a video of some.

RE: Loss of fuel pressure

RE: Welcome Hirobo!

It may be its running too rich. If its a new heli the clutch shouldnt be slipping, but if it is it will rev up high with little rotor rpm. The pitch settings you mentioned should be good, but it...

RE: Welcome Hirobo!

How is your pitch set up? Use a pitch gage and see what it is at half stick and full stick. That is a good starting point for trouble shooting.

RE: Seagull Yak?

On mine, the first flight I put the CG where the book said to. Big mistake. The last flight I had the bright idea to let my son fly it with me without using a buddy box. Lesson learned. Once the CG...

RE: Tweaking Shuttle Z-TS

Which way does the tail spin? If you look straight at the heli from the right side, the tail rotor should spin counter clockwise, that is the top side spins away from the front. Conversely, the main...
