Multiplex Equipment?

And Ladyflyer

If you had a Multiplex radio over twenty years ago when you were seven, then I had an ace single channel when I was three (still in diapers).
I'll supply a photo when I find one....

Multiplex Equipment?

Hey Michael!

I have a 4 meter Multiplex Alpina I've been finishing up for about eight years now. Soaring's kind of slowed down around these parts, but I will see the thing fly one of these days. ...

Honker Bipe

Thanks for the reply Dave!

I like remenicing about those times. We used get a few Honkers in the air and have mock dogfights. I wouldn't mind building one just for grins.

Honker Bipe

Has anyone ever heard of an airplane called a honker bipe?
We used to have a lot of fun with these solid basla winged 40 sized planes.
If you could fly one of them, you could fly anything.

Trainer

I agree with MHarrison. I've been training newcomers for years, and have found the Realflight simulator to be a big help. I haven't tried the Aircore, but it sounds like a winner.

Best Engine

Hmmm...

Looks like an incomplete list to me (the best parts must be censored :D ), but I'd say the best engine would depend on what your needs are.

G 38

I have it set where it's horizontal at the start of the compression stroke.
Someone suggested checking to see if the key on the flywheel assembly is secure, which would affect the timing if the...

G 38

I really don't think it's a flooding problem. It may have a timing problem, but I'm not sure.

Engine on WM Dago Red .46

I had an Easy Dago Red (with an Enya 90) for years. Had to retire it, but it sure was a fine plane. I suggest glassing the wing center section along with the front of the firewall before you...

G 38

I have two G 38s. One hand starts very easy, while the other back fires with every flip. It really hurts! I tried using a chicken stick, but after breaking a few props, I chose to use an electric...

D.D. or Whiplash flutter ?

Yeah,
wingtip turbulence, control linkage/servo slop, hinge gaps, heavy ailerons material, leading edge thickness on the aileron less than that of the wings trailing edge, and speed, all contribute...
