RE: Goldberg 67

I think it should fly good at that CG.

I too purchased multiple kits. I like this plane. I run it with a 4C Saito 180 and it has great vertical. I can hover and take straight up and off. I...

RE: Ace Extra 230 33% Fiberglass

How did you replace the butt joints with tongue and groove? Did you use the pieces as a pattern and laser cut new pieces? The result again is beautiful job, nice outcome.

RE: Ace Extra 230 33% Fiberglass

I have an old ace r/c extra 230 30% that has been stuck on the back burner for 18 years. I bought it and started the wings with the wood spares that now would be wing tubes. I still intend to...

RE: Sig Smith Miniplane build

Are we talking the same thing hereSemi-Symmetrical Airfoil isn't that symmetrical on the top and semi-flat on the bottom. It is not fully symmetrical. The smith mini is not 100% flat bottom nor is...

RE: Sig Smith Miniplane build

It is a great plane to fly. As far as bipes it is the easiest to fly - no bad habits on mine. Stalls are straight forward and gentle. Slows down fst to land. Great power and torque with the saito...

RE: Sig Smith Miniplane build

There is something about a four stroke saito and a biplane that is awesome. I personally have tried this plane with a 50 and 56 saito four stroke and a os 70 four stroke and I like the Saito 56 four...

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

I would think that a Gas Engine in the 20 cc range would not be enough for this plane. A 30cc or larger is what your looking for to climb out. The added wieght with a gas engine and the power is...

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

I am really interested on the electric flight as I have a spare plane and I was thinking of an electric setup. 6S 5000mah setup with that motor is going to be enough? I have an saito 180 on mine...

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

I just spent a day flying with my yak and my saito 180 and a gallon of 15% and flew all day. Wow this bird is fun. I changed out the tail...

RE: Sig Smith Miniplane build

An OS 46 2 stroke is a good choice. It will power it and fly nice. The saito 4 stroke has the torque to pull it around and sounds great. To me there is something about a four stroke and a biplane....

Thank you. It's been around for many years. Twenty one years of abuse. Here is a short video. You can see it lands smooth and it has vertical. Other than that the video is not zoomed in to...

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

I got to say, I love this airplane. I went out flying again today in 15 mile an hour winds and it was rock steady. Knife edge loops, snaps, rolls, hammerhead stall, hovers all just fantastic. The...

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

You will be happy with them. They are designed well and use light wood and fly very nice. Like I said the QQ or the Extreme Flight are both real nice planes. Two QQ s are twice as nice.!!!!!

RE: Goldberg 67" Yak 54 ARF

Check the weight with engine could be around 12.5lbs. And you would be right back in the same boat( too heavy to float). I did see a cg yak 54 67inch with a saito 150 and smoke, now that seems like...
