Sig Hummer v Ace Simple 400 v Lanier Domi 200

I've built two hummers, they were great flyers. My Dad built a pair too, one with an .10FP and big flippers-it was a real hoot. This was 7 or 8 years ago, so I wasn't much of a builder back then. If...

Cox Queen Bee

The QB is a good runner, but they are a bit finicky and if you don't run them dry they will eat thru the muffler screws in very very short order.

I'll assume you have small bore motor experience...

Your Best SMALL flying tips.

MR Flyer57:

Laminating film/Doculam has it's own heat activated adhesive on the backside, it works just like any other low temp covering. In my experience, it's a lot easier to use than...

xf622 elevon help

The 622 can be faked into elevon mixing by plugging the aileron servo into the rudder channel, activating V-tail mixing, and slaving the ailerons to the rudder. This gives you elevon mixing with the...

poking his head nercously in the door...

Looks really good!

You will definitely want to range check the hell out of this plane first, and run as much of the antenna outside of the airframe as possible. I don't know of any carbon...

I'll probably be there all three days, dependant on what I can get done between now and then. Things are hectic lately and I'm keeping wierd hours to make ends meet after yet another lay-off last...

Weird things and whirley wings

We're not worthy! That is too cool...

Hey, I've got a question about 'gyros: Do they also suffer from retreating blade stall at low RPM like a heli does? Is this something that model autogyros...

Q-Tee

A lot of guys learned how to fly with the Q-Tee.. My dad did, probably built 3 of them, along with a .15 size version. I have the shoulderwing kit (S-Tee), waiting for the time to 'do it right' as...

Cox .10 Or Similiar Engines On Free Flight Plane Has Anyone Dont This Before????

Well, you don't say much about the FF airplane, but if it's what I think it is, it won't work.

This is probably one of those Chinese foamies that has an undercamber wing with about an 18" span,...

Would I be insane if I....

If it were me, (me being someone that makes a lot of fast foam core wings) I'd put a 1/16 spar in it that goes 3" past the root of the ailerons and them cover the center section with glass cloth a...

No, but you'd be a fool to do it without beefing the wing up! ;)

With all this talk of throttled Cox's....

Actually, I already have the throttle unit and a Kavan tank extender. I've never used either, was just wondering if they were worth a darn and I should get the one at the hobby shop.

Can't imagine...

Cox Queen Bee .074

Dave Robelen did an .074 sized vintage pattern article last year, I think it was a KAOS too. If you look in the M.A.N. plans index, there are a lot of 1/2A designs in there that sound like they'd be...

Cox 020 with throttle question?

You could always goop the fuel line on the tank. BTW, you can make an 010 tank out of small yellow nyrod inner, a CA squeeze bulb, and goop to act as a stopper. Works great.

With all this talk of throttled Cox's....

Have any of you 'veterans' tried the old throttle backplate assembly that ACE R/C made for the Baby-Bee .049? I picked one up years ago and havnen't tried it. I know these things are rare, and I...

Cox 020 with throttle question?

The standard size prop for Cox .020's is a 4.5-2. These are still pretty easy to find, and work pretty well. Matchless told me about an APC prop that he likes to, but I don't remember the size.

HEY!--Anyone flying a "Lil' Bubba"?

I wouldn't say the LB is 'old', maybe not the newest pet rock in Modeldom, but not old either. I know for a fact that I've seen it at Toledo at least twice and we're coming up to the next show, so it...
