HITec HS-965MG pausing/not working properly...

I bought this servo used and hope that its not broken...

It pauses every few seconds and doesnt respond at all for 1-2 sec whilst my TowerPro and Futaba have no problem with the same setup.

It worked for a longer pinion like the ones in my brushless Clodbuster because they have a more simple design but these pinions are hard to drill by hand ...ended up all messy and crooked
