RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

All,

Curious about what sorts of things could cause a power outtage in a Stryker (or any plane for that matter). Yesterday while flying my Styker (stock) using a 2200 11.1V battery (Deans...

RE: Electrajet or Stryker?

I have given up buying LiPo's at my LHS. I try to buy everything else from them (new planes, servos etc) but when it comes to batteries, there are too many other, better choices.

For my...

RE: Electrajet or Stryker?

Ah, gotcha. I am acronym challenged :-). Honestly, the Stryker is very fast but you can throttle it back a bit and fly it in a park if you wanted to. For the extra $69.00 seems that parts...

RE: I am thinking of crossing over to the dark side

I know that I am hearing stories all across the nation of clubs losing fields due to noise. One here in Vegas is currently in jeopardy of losing thier field as building has encroached on their field....

RE: Electrajet or Stryker?

I did a Google search for NOS Electrajet and didnt come up with anything. There is an Eflite Electrajet out there but that is a park flyer with top speeds of "17 - 20mph" according to their site....

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

What are you guys using to replace your stock Ailerons? The stock ones seem to flex quite a bit and if not handled/stored correctly you end up with them being up at one end and down at the other...

RE: Battery Connectors

I use only Dean's but as a Ham Radio operator soldering is not a problem for me. I actually enjoy it.

That being said, I made the mistake of buying some bulk Dean's from the Internet and they...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

Too bad you guys dont live closer to Vegas. As the chairman of our yearly all-electric SuperFly I think it would be an awesome sight to see a squadron of Stryker screaming thru the skies. We get...

RE: First flight with Mini Pulse XT

The Mini Pulse XT is my all time favorite plane even though I "retired" it. Well, I crashed it and then couldnt find the parts (guess it is quite a few peoples favorite plane :-) ) so I bought a...

RE: Wings Across America 2008

Has there been any updates? I havent seen anything for a while and learned about the crash of the first plane from reading another base. I havent seen any emails from Frank in six weeks. Not sure if...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

My wife finished my paint job on my new Stryker and I am rebuilding it to try and fly tomorrow. I have the AR6200 now instead of the AR6100. Anyone have any recommendations on where to put the remote...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

CP,

I second that. I lost my Stryker last weekend with my AR6100. There is a carbon fiber spar in the wing and where you typically mount your receiver it blanks it when you are flying towards...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

Thanks Gryphon,

My current plan is to run the Spektrum capacitor instead of the BEC. With a renegotiation time of .5 seconds on the AR6200 I ordered keeping power to the receiver with the...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

So as I look to rebuild my Stryker after the AR6000 glitch, I have not been able to find a F27C body. I have seen the "B" body unpainted for a good price. Is that the same as the "C" but not with the...

RE: F27 STRYKER Part 7 : The Basics To The Darkest of Dark

Anyone running their Stryker with a Spektrum AR6100e? I have flown mine about 20 times and this morning I was flying and lost it. I was doing a fly by at 1/2 throttle and was going to turn left and...

RE: connectors

Always female on the battery so you dont run the risk of shorting it when you throw it in your bag/field box.

RE: DX6i low voltage warning

Not sure on the DX6i but there isnt one on the DX7 :-(. One thing you may want to look at is a higher capacity battery. I have one from Maxamps for my DX7 and while it was a painful and expensive...

RE: Radar Gun for Planes?

wow, so I guess I didnt realize that the Jets could go this fast so maybe I need to rethink the contests and not do a speed contest. Would hate to create controversy with a cheap gun if it cant...

RE: Radar Gun for Planes?

I have seen some Stalkers on eBay for considerably less than $700. Since we are a non-profit club and the SuperFly is a fund raiser, there is no way I can spend that kind of $ on a gun. Are all...

Radar Gun for Planes?

All,

I am chairman of our SuperFly this year. Looking for contest ideas. We have quite a few "Jet Guys" who come and everyone loves to watch them. I was thinking about a speed contest or...

RE: parkzone f27-c stryker

What battery are you guys running on the Stryker? I have a few 2100's from different manufacturers and I can really tell a difference between them. I am thinking of getting some new 2200's to try...
