RE: RC10GT2 Factory Team - Engine?

Depends if you plan on running races or just bashing. The stock motor is great for bashing but a OS motor will be right for racing. The OS TZ .12 is a wicked fast motor. Good Luck with the car!

RE: Runns Out of Gear!!!

Smaller spur gear? You want a larger one for sure. Think of it as a 10 speed bike. Bigger gears means you can travel faster without running out of legs. I run a OS TZ and I put the largest spur and...

RE: os .12 TZ break in

Depends on what fuel he is running. Some fuel has more or less oil in it. All I know is it wouldn't run good enough to break it in until I leaned it. Trust me I tryed richening it and performance was...

RE: os .12 TZ break in

I just broke mine in last week and the factory settings on the engine (1-3/4 out on the hsn) was way to rich. I couldn't get it to run either until I leaned it up a little. Lean it just enough to let...

RE: GT2 not moving properly

Look at the pic. The gears are "FLAT" I would start with the spur gear and then see if the diff needs rebuild. It''s obvious the spur gear needs replacing.

RE: attention GT2 owners

My GT2 handles awesome with an OS TZ .12. Tons of adjustment for racing. Real drivers can handle 2WD.....LOL! Yes the radio does suck, but almost every LHS carries parts in stock. I love mine and...

RE: GT2 motor rebuild

Sounds like your nut has come loose. The one opposite the throttle lever. Pull the carb off the car. Remove the HSN assembly. Make sure you don''t loose the crush washers. (2 of them). Insert a...

RE: GT2 motor rebuild

Pics are a little blurry. Push the piston into the sleeve. The piston should become tight within 1/8" - 1/4". If it slides through the sleeve the sleeve is toast. Otherwise put something flat over...

RE: GT2 not moving properly

It looks like your spur gear is shredded. Is there flats on the gear. Looks sharp on one side but flat in other areas. Your meshing looks like it's to far apart. Set it just so there is "little" slop.

RE: Glow Plug Starter Question?

Problem solved! Bought a new ignitor and lit it up perfect. Still don't understand why it lit the one(not very bright) and not the hot plug. Oh well I'm back in business.

RE: Glow Plug Starter Question?

The plugs are brand new. It will make the one for my ae .15 glow but not the new "hot" one for the OS. I'm wondering if the contact on the glow ignitor is going bad. It had some build up on it. Going...

OS TZ .12

Does anyone own one of these sweet motors? Just broke mine in today and it went fairly smooth. Can anyone agree that they come way to rich. 1 3/4 turns out was way to rich to keep running. Turned the...

RE: Custom Truck Build?

Any type of chassis is possible to build. Let me know if you need help making one as I am a machinist by trade. I also thought of making my own out of carbon fiber for my GT2 but the original seems...

RE: GXR28 Kyosho St us sport Dies

Have you tried replacing the glow plug. It is recommended to replace the glow plug after initial break in. Otherwise try adjusting your needle settings. If there is a lot of smoke then lean the high...

RE: My GT2 is kindof slow, then runs too hot.

The white filter goes in first and doesn't have to be oiled(unless it's extremely dirty conditions) and the grey one goes in last and needs to be oiled enough to cover entire filter. Not dripping!...

RE: My GT2

Yeah the aluminum looks great but wait till you hit something or roll it over hard.... It bends and does not flex like plastic. If you plan on racing with it I would eliminate the aluminum swingarms...

RE: Help With Gt2

Check your rear wheel bearings in the hubs, if those are fine make sure your spur gear and clutch gear look fine, otherwise you might have to open your tranny and take a look inside.

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

I personally think some aluminum parts are worse off than plastic. Especially a- arms, they take a lot of the beating and with aluminum they don't bend back like plastic. I think they look very cool...

RE: Which to pick?

If you go with the GT2 I would upgrade right to the RPM A-Arms. I busted one right of the bat but the car is very tunable once you go racing. Also get a starter box. The pull start gave me a lot of...
