RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Hi Anyone got MOABs on your truck.
Did you change gearing for that. If so, what pinion/spur combination.?
Stock tyre's perimeter is 32 Cm.
Moab is 40 cm.

19 X 32 / 40 = 15. So, a 15T...

I use a syringe to apply grease.
Since there will be dirt mixed with grease after a run or so, I first give it a squirt of WD40 to loosen the grease and then reapply grease using...

RE: Best bang for the buck 5s Lipo Charger

Hyperion EOS0610 series.
EOS0606 would also work, but it'll charge at 50W max. You may out grow EOS0606 pretty soon.

RE: New Hyperion, new 3000 mAh, .10C, 30 hours first charge?

Yeah, Right, For this 3000 mAh battery 1C = 3 Amps,
But at 0.1C, you should be charging at 300mA instead of 100mA as your battery is 3000mAh. so that should complete in 10 hrs.
Also, while...

Who moved my cheese .. err ... mAh

I have a fresh battery pack of IB4600.
I am using Hyperion EOS0606i ac/dc charger.
First charge was at 300mA, which "finished" at least 4 times before a full charge due to false peaks. I consider...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

I am from India and I usually get parts from towerhobbies.com or omnimodels.com
They are basically the same.
Tower offers more discounts
Omni offers cheaper shipping.

RE: Hobbico Electristar Select EP Trainer RTF

So, what are options in similar range. I mean an electric trainer of about the same size as ElectriStar.
Would E Flite T34 Mentor be any good for a beginner, especially when its not a high winger.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Do you use paper technique to adjust the gap between pinion and spur.
It really works well.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Well, 31 T pinion ... will it fit. I doubt.
How did you arrive at a figure of 31.
Per calculations, 19T is the optimum setup.
Go up or down couple of teeth for speed or torque.
Keep watching...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Consider 1) increasing wheel base of your setup, 2) have a stiffer differential.

Practice smoother inputs, atleast when you are negotiating turns.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

If you are worried about number of cells, it'll take 7 C Sub C in stick or side by side configuration.
No hump packs with default battery retainer.
