RE: Spektrum DXE4

Thanks Andy. I've got a Dx7 and Dx6, but I like the sliding trim tabs on the Dx4 for slowling pulling in my sails on my boat as the airfoil reattaches after coming about. You can out accelerate other...

RE: Spektrum DXE4

Why haven't I sent it in yet? It seems the cost of the shipping and repairs would exceed the value of the transmitter.

RE: Spektrum DXE4

Reallly? Six of seven solid state receivers Spektrum prodcued might be bad. There must be a break down in your quality assurance department in the receiver division.

RE: Spektrum DXE4

I thought one of the AR6100 passed the range check but failed later when I was on the water. After I got the boat back to shore and re-checked, it failed the range check :-(

So here are my...

RE: Spektrum DXE4

I'm posting my range check results w/ my Dx4e once I was able to get outside and do the proper 90' distance. I thought the results were currious. I tested it w/ 3 AR6100 and one AR7000. Two of the...

RE: Spektrum DXE4

Hi Andy,

Have you heard of any issues w/ 4.8v vs 6.0v on the Dx4e? The only issues I've heard w/ the receivers is when people use 4.8v (and it drops below that critical 4.5v... I think) so I'm...

RE: Spektrum DXE4

I'll check the Tx with a couple more receivers to be sure. Believe it or not I have a lot of AR6000s at my house because I get fantastic range checks from them (similar to AR7000) and they are...

RE: Spektrum DXE4

Andy or anyone,

Are there any known bad combinations w/ this transmitter. I've binded mine to a couple AR6100 receivers and they both fail the range test mode from only about 50-60' away. When I...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

Hi Bumbles!

I'm sorry I missed your response until now. I'm about to try 4s in my F-15 as soon as I get nice wx so I may be able to tell you if it works or blows-up :-) I know one person...

RE: E-flite F-15 Eagle DF ARF

I know bro... I feel your pain.

I have ambivalence about the plane myself. On the one hand, it seems like it has a lot of potential. On the other, I've had nothing but problems myself. I've had...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

The 64mm sounds correct, although it is an unusual size. I checked airpowernet.com and they only sell the 70mm. I believe GWS may make a 64mm (EDF64-150 Ducted Fan, 2540 x 6 [GWSEDF064]) available at...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

Foundryratjim,

Thanks for the consult on the volts to the Rx. I was slow to realize I could simply measure the volts out of my ESC. With both of my 3S batteries, the combined output to the rx...

Congrats on getting her airborne!!

Mine is finally about ready for her maiden, but I'm curious if everyone is using a separate battery to power the receiver and servos. I...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

Yes... I think everyone has that problem. Greg Covey talks about it in his build thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7604260/anchors_7728664/mpage_1/key_covey/anchor/tm.htm#7728664

As was...

RE: FLYFLY F86 SABRE

Hi tIANci,

I'm sorry I missed the airshow... it sounds great. I've never seen a SU-30 up close. I know the F/A-18 can fly super slow hanging on the blades, so I'm amazed the SU-30 can fly slower...

Thanks for the info! I thought perhaps your pal had the retracts before they came out w/ the new stronger upgrade. I posed this question to the Electronic Jet Factory in Tuscon, AZ...

RE: FLYFLY F86 SABRE

Hi tIANci et al.,

Have you had a chance to check your China made motor? If so, how does it work?

I have a couple more questions if anyone has some thoughts on these?

1) Does anyone...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

I know... it is confusing. E-flite sells the plane w/ a 6 blade but the motor specs call for 3 blade. Perhaps Don is onto something w/ the 3 blade. It sounds like all combinations might benefit from...
