RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Yep very true, I had to consider though multiple use for these new batts, as I fly helis too and plan to get something bigger than my current 500 class. I considered both 4000 and 5000 6S packs from...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Jeff, I used 6S 3000 25C Outrage packs for the bench test. Like I said the volt drop was abysmal for a "brand name" lipo and such a low load. The measurements were done with an Eagletree v.3 data...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Any of you guys carried out static and dynamic amp draw test on the Angel? I'm trying to work out what size battery to go for (the 6S2P would bring the plane to 3.3 Kg. Not too keen on that).

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

I did have one of the stripes slightly lifted at the tip out of the box. Like Jeff said, warm iron fixed it. I haven't finished the build yet to fly it and see if any more lift off or not. Several...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

IT ARRIVED :D:D:D

Took a fair few weeks for the importer to bring in more stock, but never mind. Finally got mine. All the hardware is already tested and set up, just needs to be fitted now.

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Already have it. I use an other Plush 80 on my heli and a 60 on the Sebart Shark. Trouble free too, unlike the 90A V2 Scorpion [&o]

What timing are you using Matt? Some people seem to use medium...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

I picked those based on Jeff's recommendation. Just got lucky to catch a promotion and get a good price for them. I also managed to track down some XOAR props, so two are on the way.

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

That would bring my 2P combination right where you feel the weight should be. I guess space in the fuse and positioning for correct CG will be the key to it. I have some ply and 2.5 mm carbon sheet...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

These comments keep me thinking about the 2P option. Your 6-8 oz is about half the weight of one of my 6S 3000 packs. Not sure what your 5S pack weighs, but two of mine would be about 32 oz all up....

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate your advice.

I put the order in for the 380 kv and a couple of 16x10 props of different material and weight to play with. Amp draw will be checked on the...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Thank you very much Matt and Jeff.

The 2S3P is no misprint, check it out here. At 97 g all up it should last all day even with digital servos. Speaking of that I think I'll go with the Ino-Lab...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Thanks for the input tIANci. I did think about reinforcing it if I go 2P, even though I am nowhere near snaps yet, positive or otherwise. The Scorpion motor calc I used was showing too high an amp...

RE: Angel S EVO Build Thread

Hi guys,

I read this thread (all 18 pages of it) with interest. I quickly outgrew the Shark and the BH Stick 4D I got for aerobatic training is not to my liking, so Angel 50E here we come :D...

RE: Aerofly Pro with DX7 - advanced setup

Cheers Mike, will give that a go tonight.

Edit: I can't set negative values for the pitch curves. On the radio I can go from 0 to 100% but that translates to pos and neg 12 degrees on the real...

Aerofly Pro with DX7 - advanced setup

Been searching for a while here and on other forums as well to find instruction to have a DX7 work with this sim properly.

The sim runs well, it registers and calibrates my DX7 just fine.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Just a couple of quick question for you guys.

1) Do you get full range slide on the tail rotor shaft? Mine seem to be going from 2 mm toward the rotors to about 6 mm to the belt. Is this normal?...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Thanks for that. I was thinking right aileron to stop it from tipping over to the left due to torque. Having applied enough of that to keep the head vertical, I assumed that ground effect or not will...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Just a quick question for the experts.

Is it normal that while the heli is still in ground effect it slowly scoots to the left (tail in pos) or is this a setup issue?

RE: DX6, DX6i, DX7 thread

That is Mode 2 according to the description, but you didn't answer my question. Which stick works the throttle on your transmitter?

RE: DX6, DX6i, DX7 thread

Is your throttle activated by the right stick up and down movement? That is Mode 1 configuration.

RE: DX6, DX6i, DX7 thread

Left is NOSE left when you stand behind the heli (tail in). Tail left would be the wrong direction as I found out the hard way [:@]

RE: LED Lights for HBK2

I was waiting to recommend www.rclighting.net until I got mine delivered and tested. It is very good, works well and put together properly. You can order customised stuff too.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

I would go fro the 6200, if not else for the fact that the two receivers work better then one.

On a different note, a rather stupid question, so don't laugh too hard  The pitch curve in...
