Need help in my first low wing!

Since it is apparently not a real fast airplane, and you have got the whole thing put together, I would just fly it and see how much aileron trim you need to compensate for the elevator. Who knows,...

What do you hate most about building a Kit or putting together an ARF

TV commericials?

I suspect there just are not enought total bucks spent in this hobby to support significant TV advertising, as costly as it is.

Someday way out in the future when TV signals are actually routed to...

Any eperience flying at high altitude sites?

I fly at about 4000 feet and the combination of altitude and summer heat can combine to zap you because you are losing both engine power and lift. I do lots of scratch building so I just basically...

Tip stall

I agree that stalls begin at the wing root, and continue on out to the tip. "tip stall" has always just seemed like an adequate term to describe my Corsair tumbling down the field shedding parts...

"the guy that built it"

I have bought some used planes that were lots of fun- for a while. The longer I have them, the more defects I notice. Most of th defects are minor cosmetic issues, like monocote that starts coming...

Women RCers

Why so few women in this hobby?
I have been involved in many discussions at various flying fields on this issue. Is it genetics or is it cultural conditioning? Or are the guys scaring off the...

Flying Without The Cowl On?

I rarely put a cowl on for first flights. Too many things can come loose and need to be tightened down. But when building a plane, I always make holes in the cowl so the needle valves (slow and hi...
