RE: Are these worth it?

yes, those are OK. The only issue you might have with any hub made cheaply is the bearing fitment, but I havent heard of any issues. I had another brand (forget who..been a while) where they werent...

RE: New Inquiry.. last one I promise :). Your input would be helpful

In what way? If I'm wrong then I am wrong, but I have spent a little time looking into this. Some of my estimates are not dead on for a few reasons. If it.s my numbers, then yes I know, if it is...

RE: New Inquiry.. last one I promise :). Your input would be helpful

RE: LAST CHANCE TO SPEAK UP if you are interested in custom parts

I'm not doing this to make money, that is the truth. Believe it or not, these rc companies dont make a lot of money as expensive as you think the hobby can be. I can make a prototype, as in working...

RE: My murdered out Savage XL

I'm a realist..... when real is positive I'm on it, when real is other than, I'm on it just the same. Dude, you call me a hater but honestly, do you go to your real friends or people on the street...

RE: LAST CHANCE TO SPEAK UP if you are interested in custom parts

lol ofcourse... I'm not slingin' snakeoil here. I actually had a new idea floating around but I'm kinda at the cross roads we discussed the other day where the end result would be like a heavier...

RE: LAST CHANCE TO SPEAK UP if you are interested in custom parts

You would like to see a physical prototype, or a drawing/ CAD? With 4 responses, we wont be seeing anything lol. I will see if others on other forums are interested, but I find that this hobby is...

RE: My murdered out Savage XL

why are the pictures of the BMWs randomly taken from google search? Just wondering, not like a 95-2000 7 series is expensive these days (or pre face lifted 2001-2006 7s), but lets see all of your...

LAST CHANCE TO SPEAK UP if you are interested in custom parts

Ok, earlier this week I was asking you guys about TVPs and then I had a better thought. I am thinking about the possibility of totally re-engineering the Savage with a conversion package that will...

Do you prefer XL or X length TVPs? VOTE!

Vote, and please vote for Nitro and Flux (electric) variants. I am NOT doing 4 chassis plate variants I can assure you of that. These are all lower COG plates.

RE: xl steering slop

QUALITY aluminum steering arms, quality bearings, and aluminum knuckles would make it as good as it can be. That with a great servo will get you much better steering feedback. It also has to do...

RE: Gathering interest...

Oh yeah... IF I do end up making any part, keep this in mind. I am = HAMMAN, TechArt, Lorinser, Gemballa etc.. FLM etc = American Racing etc. Just can't compare the two very different approaches. ...

RE: Gathering interest...

No offense to Chronic (or HPI) but I can tell you right away why ANY of these TVP designs can fail. First and foremost, the strongest shape is never a box. If you look at the TVPs from both makers,...

RE: Gathering interest...

Not sure if chronic worked/ ran a machine shop but to get even CLOSE to $45, then I need volume. I can guarantee, the designs I have come up will take ALOT MORE time on the mill than any other TVP I...

RE: Gathering interest...

hey Tom :)

Well beefy is not a good approach by any stretch. Thick as in thick without recesses = zero imagination and thinking that more material trumps actual design. FLM imho are in this...

RE: Gathering interest...

If the interest is there.. that goes for all the models, I will not do any one model unless people want it. I know the shorter X chassis accepts more bodies, so that is a consideration. I'll even...

RE: Gathering interest...

Nothing I am willing to post as this time as I have nothing to protect my design. My TVP design will be different for sure, thicker than FLM, milled out in low stress areas to lighten the part, and...

RE: Gathering interest...

Price can be matched by my estimates, it really depends on how many are ordered to offset cost. I am not doing this as a business, it is really just to make even and make the best TVPs available,...

RE: Gathering interest...

T9.. why might? Need some DEFS. Everyone can say "well on ebay stockers go for $10-20 bucks" and they are right. Will people pay the appropriate amount for high quality?? I dunno...not sure yet. ...
