No trick. This is one I was going to mod by lining the side walls with Teflon lining. This helps to keep the metal to metal from Gaulding and reduces the noise of the spring on the piston walls

That's about what I use on my Warbirds. I like the the soft touch when flying . 60% is about mt average setting. I don't use dual rates , one less switch to worry about. IMHO
