S3155 Dimensions

Hi,

There is conflicting information on the dimensions of the new S3155 digital servo. One site says they are 10.0 mm x 29 mm x 30 mm but another says they are 10.8 mm x 29 mm x 30 mm....

RE: Does 9303 have a back up?

Mic,

See the Tx Maintenance question a few lines below this one! Danny recommends about a year between servicing when the Tx is frequently used.

RE: New BB Version for DS368?

Danny,

Will the DS368BB eventually replace the DS368, or will both continue to be offered?

New BB Version for DS368?

I've often heard that the DS368, as awesome a servo as it is, doesn't use ball bearings. However, I just bumped into this at Horizon's website:

RE: DS 168 @6.0V?

Good news!

I forgot to ask, can a DS368 also be run at 6V?

Thanks,

DS 168 @6.0V?

I'd like to use some thin DS168's in a sailplane wing. Can they be run safely using a 5-cell 6V receiver pack, or will they need to be run with a 4-cell 4.8V battery? I went to the www.jrradios.com...

RE: Futaba S3150 Slim Servo

Thanks for your prompt reply Bill.

I think the S3150 could be a great alternative to servos like the Hitec HS-125MG for thin wing apps. I'll give them a try, but wish it could run them at 6V for...

Futaba S3150 Slim Servo

Hello,

Is it possible to run the S3150 using a 6.0V battery pack with or without a regulator?

At the Futaba website, the 6.0V data for this servo is "N/A".

Thanks,

Lance

RE: New JR 72Mhz Synth Module

Should be able to use your existing Rx so long as it has a crystal that corresponds to the frequency you've selected on the Tx synth module. Of course, the ultimate in flexibility would be to use a...

RE: 9303 tx

I've found that the polymer screen protectors for PDA's and digital cameras work well for protecting my 9303's LCD display. Palm and Fellows among others, sell them. Cut to size to fit. Since the...

RE: New JR 72Mhz Synth Module

I was the interpreting the decription the same way as you, MM, but the wording left open the other possibility.

I've never seen any JR Tx's other than 8103's and 9303's so I don't know why other...

RE: XP8103 Base Loaded Antenna

I recently got a Becker antenna for my 9303 (haven't installed it yet, soon) but it uses the same JR adaptor that the JR whip requires. Remove the antenna from your Tx, then screw in the adaptor in...

For 60" slopers with flaps, you could check out the Munzar Bird (Czech Republic) or CCM Scorpion II (France). Both are distributed in the US at this website:

RE: Where to find multiple servo connectors?

I found out this weekend that greathobbies.com in Canada also carries the Multiplex 6-pin connectors. Bob Breaux at soaringusa.com is a great guy to do business with. I've never made a small order...

RE: Where to find multiple servo connectors?

Joe makes a great point about the wire gauge, and MPI has a great selection of connectors and wiring accessories. According to MPI, the 20ga can handle 10A continuously. Not sure what their criteria...

RE: Where to find multiple servo connectors?

Chris is asking for a wiring harness. Among the sailplane folks I hang out with, we build them ourselves using a 6-pin connector from Multiplex (has a green shell). 4 pins for the servo signals and...

RE: Finally!! 8U/9C synthetic module due out..

Sigh ... I'd like to point out again that according to Peter Berg, this problem is not limited to use with a Hitec Spectra module. If you read the references I posted, he implies the non-standard PPM...

RE: Finally!! 8U/9C synthetic module due out..

Oh, as an addendum, Peter Berg mentions in the second post of the thread I previously posted that the Tx bug also occurs in "high end" Futaba Tx's with a Futaba synth module. I can only assume he is...

RE: Graupner MX-22

I'd be interested to know what frequency bands are used down under for model aircraft? Is 72Mhz one of them?

Thanks,

RE: Finally!! 8U/9C synthetic module due out..

I'm sure many 9C owners will welcome the synth module.

But if you have any Berg or FMA DSP-based receivers, make sure you find out if the Futaba Tx bug that causes them to transmit a...
