Thanks for the compliments. I build that one in about 3 hours start to finish to play in the snow with. In that pic, I had a Magnum .25 on it which I ran last season. I have on OS .40 on it...

I'll have to agreee with DWC, Coroplast makes great rudders. I have an entire airboat built out of it. Coroplast is corrugated plastic. Typical use is signs. Check out the SPAD forum for more info...

RCM still has the plans. It is call "Vroom Hilda" designed by Art Johnson.

One source of free coroplast if you live in a rural area is seed signs. Now that harvest is wrapping up, they are there pretty much for the taking. Be sure to get permission from the farmer first...

They are both still produced. I'd go with the Butterfly powered with an OS LA .25. This makes a very slow and stable trainer.

It's just this one little bit that bothers me though...the newbies are probably the most likely to accidentally turn on their transmitter without a pin or do something else that results in the loss...

I use 25% nitro Sig Champion fuel in my Cox engines. It is 20% oil, 1/2 castor 1/2 synthetic. I've had very good luck with it and a quart of it will cost you less than a pint od actual Cox fuel.
