I owned a Tornado (first rc) and never had any issues with the brakes or linkage and any issues I had with it were from user error, I had some good times with it until I sold it to someone on this...

In 2009 I bought a tornado S30 from rufaster; I bought another one which was technically my first but had some issues with a seller on ebay and returned it.

I used to chase my dog with my rc's too; he is terrified of them.
Then I felt pretty bad about doing that when we found out from the veterinarian that he was diagnosed with a heart murmur.

I actually used some spares from my Savage Flux they fit okay but not perfectly so you might wanna crimp the bottom of the spring with some pliers so they fit over the shock end tightly.
