RE: Twin engen

Check out my baby, twin .40's spinning 11x7's. First pic is my first ever twin, basically two engines on floats. The next pic is my re-designed hull and engine setup, the boat is drying off after...

RE: plexigalss hulls

Plexi would work great, CA actually welds it, not just bond. You could spring for a lexan bottom instead for ruggedness.

RE: Speed .... limited ???

My best thought for any of you trying to break a speed record is to modify or build a nacelle like a main fuse for an airplane, and then essentially attach floats that will just support the weight of...

RE: Airboat won't turn

See the bottom of the hull. There are rails for straight tracking in snow, these help you go straight when tobbagganing. When in the water they also keep the boat straight, but due to no beveling...

RE: Cumputer is on life support

Ahhh, it looks like you have a hewlett -packard. My general statement on mass produced comps other than dell is to stay away from them. However, since you have the side panel open you seem to have...

RE: SPAD Airboat

My original plan was not for a stepped hull, I had planned to use one single piece for the bottom, however cutting all of the flutes just seems like too much work for my quickie experiment, so i...

SPAD Airboat

Hey all, I haven't posted here in a while, been pretty busy with work. However over the past 2 days I have constructed a new hull. I did this rather hastily and any future hulls will be more...

RE: My latest hull...WOF

bondo will eat foam you just have to cover the foam with epoxy first and then sand it to get a good mechanical bond. bondo is a poly resin and will eat foam.

RE: need help!!

All glow engines run counter clockwise unless you have modded them to run clockwise. If your engine starts and runs clockwise then this is a sign of flooding, don't asl me why it does it but it...

RE: need help!!

I torque mine till the nut doesn't move any more with a standard length box wrench. The crank turns in the opposite direction of tightening this is why sometimes if an engine kicks back it can throw...

RE: Top Heavy possible fix?

My engines run sideways, and this lowers the carb below the fuel pickup in the tank, after you primethe engine this creates a natural syphon, and it will sometime drip fuel. I found that this lowers...

RE: crazy project

It sounds like a fun idea, I guess it depends on what type of fish you are fishing for. I am only familiar with lake trout, fly, and salmon fishing. If it's the latter you're gunna need a lot of...

RE: Nitro car/truck engines?

If you currently have a nitro or a truck engine try to use it. The thing about airboating is most parts are modified or homemade. However if you are going to buy an engine i suggest buying an...

RE: Fiberglass Repair

At 1/8 of an inch the holes are not too large, however for a repair that will last forever put in the cloth and epoxy and let it cure to tacky then from the underside use epoxy and microballons so...

RE: Att. Engine Pro's

Oil dripping from the muffler is okay in most cases if it isn't a huge amount. As the oil in the fuel doesn't really burn with the alcohol but rather it separates and lubricates all the parts. This...

I might try that, for now a layer of good old duct tape. I noticed that the inside of the antenna appears to be copper plated, or maybe it is a copper antenna that is chrome plated?? Anyways, the...
