RE: Looking for Opinions on New Boat

I think I have it narrowed down to either the Seaducer Cat or the Areomarine Conquest.
Any help/advice would be great.

Also, I am having a tough time deciding whether to go with a RCMK or a CC...

RE: THE UNOFFICIAL SHOCKWAVE 36 THREAD

I have a quick question. Today I was running my boat, and it randomly quit. I went and retrieved it and I noticed that the pressure line going from the exhaust to the fuel tank was disconnected. I...

RE: THE UNOFFICIAL SHOCKWAVE 36 THREAD

Yep, I'd say your running rich, which is good for break in. Make sure not to lean it out too fast, just do small increments at a time, like an 1/8 of a turn. Better to be too rich than too lean! :)

RE: NiMh cells

I called Horizon Hobby and talked with them for awhile and they said that it sounds like a transmitter problem after testing it with regular alkalines and still having issues.
They said to send it...

RE: Rechargeable NiMh

There were originally 8 alkaline batteries (1.5 volts each). The manual says that rechargeable batteries can be used in place of the alkaline batteries however.

RE: NiMh cells

Does that mean this radio is retired then? :(
I have no attachment to the JR radio. I just need a decent radio that can be dependable, and that is fairly cheap.

Rechargeable NiMh

So I just purchased some new NiMh rechargeable batteries for my JR Python transmitter. It was just the stock transmitter that came with my boat. I charged the batteries and they are full.
However,...

RE: Shockwave .36 issue

I had this same problem. After doing what beau suggested check your drive dog, the set screw in the dog may be stripped causing that to slip as well.

RE: AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas Hydro Thread_Make it Fast!

The engine temp was running very high, which was hard on the engine. I believe like 18% or higher is recommended for oil content in boats, so 10% in the Blue Thunder is way too low.
I also was...

RE: AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas Hydro Thread_Make it Fast!

Also just as a heads up, unless you have added oil to your blue thunder it is probably right around 10 or 12 percent oil content. I was having issues with my blue thunder fuel in my boat before I...

RE: THE UNOFFICIAL SHOCKWAVE 36 THREAD

It still backed off just a bit, but that was after quite awhile of running at WOT. I could tell that it was running rich today, so leaning it out just a tad most likely would have helped. But I didnt...

RE: THE UNOFFICIAL SHOCKWAVE 36 THREAD

Yes I would strongly recommend the M445. I have only seen/tested the stock Prather prop, and the M447. It was the best out of these 3. I had cavitation and lower top end speed with both the Prather...

RE: THE UNOFFICIAL SHOCKWAVE 36 THREAD

Once I got the set screw figured out, my problem ended up being just some microscopic dirt and such that was causing the "grinding" when open and closing the throttle.  I sprayed some WD-40 on the...
