RE: Glitches

I don't think it could be anything with the swash plate, but I'm open to any suggestions. I'm stripping the whole thing now and I'm going to try swapping out the servos one-by-one to see if one's...

Glitches

Tonight we tried my Shuttle with a new receiver. No improvement. We also tried making the tail belt a bit looser. Again, no better.

Next I'm going to try swapping out my collective servo (Hitec...

zxx tail shaft pulley

I've actually just been tying to find the part number... The original part is #0403-306 according to my manual. I expect this would fit your ZXX as long as you haven't got a modified tail, but I...

zxx tail shaft pulley

I just replaced the tail shaft on my Shuttle Plus. The pulley came pre-fitted on the shaft.

Glitches

I've been trying to think where that could happen, but I don't see anywhere. Everything's plastic. If you guys think of somewhere I should check I'm open to suggestions of course.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Raptor 50 V2

Hi Lasher,

Way off topic, but I was wondering about the bike you have pictured there. Is that a Suzuki Interceptor? One of the directors at work rides one in to work.

BTW, Love the paint job on...

Glitches

Don't worry, I'm not. Its only been out to the field for testing recently. It hasn't actually flown for more than three weeks now :(

That's one thing my local hobby shop guy (he's seen the...

Glitches

Hi,

Any ideas what could be causing "glitches" with my Shuttle? At first we thought it was the Rx crystal but today with new crystals it was doing it again. It is most noticable on the pitch (it...

Metal heli!

I don't have enough experience with heli's to know if it would make a difference or not but I can certainly comment that every part of the mechanics of that heli looks like an exact (metal) copy of...

Metal heli!

I think the "old design" thing was based on the suggestion that it looks so much like the Shuttle design.

Got the shakes

You have a gift for understatement! ;)

I'll check them again. Hopefully I'll be going out to the field tomorrow evening and will get chance to see if I can get this problem sorted.

Thanks for...

Got the shakes

The blades were well balanced before the crash and they haven't been replaced. They don't appear to be damaged. They're the stock woodies with a plastic covering. Do you think its possible they're...

Need some help

I would still suggest getting help for your first flight. The most important thing is that an experienced pilot checks the setup before you try - you can't learn that on the sim. You just can't get...

Got the shakes

Hi,

I'm looking for some inspiration with a problem my Shuttle has. Since my crash (http://www.confuzed.org.uk/update.php?uid=40) a while ago its had really bad shakes, and I just can't find...

Metal heli!

The metal frames look the same as the plastic ones of my Shuttle but I think the canopy looks more like a Sceadu. Look at the mounts for a start, nothing like the Shuttle.

Bias against heli pilots?

Haven't seen this in our club - only friendly jokes between the rotary and fixed groups. Generally everyone respects whatever model you have.

Actually the LHS guy we all buy our spares from is...

Another crash

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know if my LHS stocks double ball links, but I'll probably try to put a washer in. Anything to save my bird!

The photos of the damage to my Shuttle are up on...

Re: attachment

Just a tip - I believe your attachment doesn't appear because it is in Windows Bitmap format (hence the .bmp extension). Load it in your photo editing software (or MS Paint) and then save the image...

Another crash

Its interesting to hear everyone's thoughts about the ball-links. The link that came apart in my crash was the servo end of the tail rod, with a ball on the servo arm. The tail mount is, I believe,...

Another crash

@venture32os:
I think (hope!) I got it all out, it was mainly in one finger. Of course my finger looks a mess since I finished! ;)

@pilot77:
Sorry you met with the ground too - I hope it didn't...

Another crash

The reason for the tail mount is because my tail servo is deeper than usual and it got in the way of the collective servo, everything else about my Shuttle is standard.

I have considered...

You're absolutely right about the reaction being wrong, but I guess that's just my inexperience. I only started flying two or three months ago. As you state, I should have flicked in to throttle hold...

Thanks for your thoughts. I figure I just had a lot of bad luck due or something ;)

Maybe you're right about the additional wear from the gyro movements Spaceman, but I couldn't find the servo end...
