Congrats on the purchase. I also have the XL5 version, and the 4X4 vxl version. I honestly wouldnt upgrade anything until its broke. If anything, replace the bushings in the wheels with bearings....

I run 2S in mine. I wouldnt go 3S unless your planning on dropping 100+ for MIP, or Tekno driveshafts. 3S will constantly break the stockers. I break them on 2S quite a bit. Otherwhise tough truck....
