The gz28,5 kit is a bolt on ( no grinding the case ) and would be my choice. I have one in a speed freak hydro that goes 72 mph.. The K30 pro mod kits will be available as the cylinders come off...

Good to hear the RCMK starters are working for you. The GZ28.5 top end kit bolts right on your S254.You will need a EZ starter to reliably start it. The K30 cylinders have been on backorder from RCMK...

Update, Thunderbolt runs 84.4mph!

I'm fried after three long days. The K600 engines sat this one out. I was running a new 520 with modded 290 Zen cylinders. I ran a few tankfulls through with a 3116 prop. It was running around 72mph....

I have run as much as 40oz in the sponson tips. when going for 80's. That much makes it awkward and nose steer/ spin at less 60% throttle. The 3020 looks good on paper. In practice it bites very hard...
