RE: "Quest for the First Bird" or "What Have I Gotten Myself Into?"

I agree. Easier said than done though if your not a Windows/MAC user. I have used ClearView when i actually had a Windows box here and it worked quite well. At the moment I'm using CRRCsim which is...

Thanks Lawrence and oz. I really appreciate the feedback everyone. There is much to consider and I tend to over analyze things. I have made some decisions though.

I'm really leaning toward a...

RE: "Quest for the First Bird" or "What Have I Gotten Myself Into?"

Mike,

That's a huge part of my concerns. if I can't rip it out and put it in another airframe I'm just flat not interested. I'd rather spend $50.00 on a used 6 channel than buy something...

Lightning Protection

How about erecting a rod on a seperate tower in the parking lot to act as a more enticing target? I'm no expert on lighting but it's a thought. Someone more knowledgable feel free to jump in here.

E Trainer for Standard Servos

Oops. That is a bit confusing.

I have a glow plane and am considering pulling the radio gear out and putting it into an electric trainer.

Can I paint Monokote?

Is it possible to paint monokote or similar? My guess is no because the paint won't adhere to the slick surface. Is there a way to prep it with a primer without making it too heavy?

Thanks!

Thanks for the input. It looked like a Falcon to me too. MY only reservation was the size. The horizontal stab is flat. No ribs at all. I just put it on the charger and hope to start it tomorrow...

Picked up my plane tonight!

I have no idea what it is but the radio's gold tag says 12/92. I have no reason to believe they were not purchased together. Can anyone identify it? Just curious. 48" span Magnum 25 motor.
