Get the Hyper 8.5 as I have the Hyper 8 and it drives great.
The last race I was in a 8.5 first came first i came in second with my 8.

I have put the CNC Aluminum One-Piece Engine Mount from the - Jammin X1CR in my Hyper 8 fits good & looks more stronger.
Just needed to widen out the screw holes in bottom of the chassis a we bit.

I have run less than 1 Litre.
I ran the engine as to the instructions the only thing I change is to 25% nitro.
Then I leaned it out so to the buggy moves on it own two tanks doing fast slow but...

I have just finshed running my STS 21E using a OS A4 plug and 25% nitro and its flys temp about 120 still with blue smoke.
It starts firts time on the box.
The only thing I had to do was grind...

Change the grease in the difs to oil 5000F, 7000C, 3000R
Lock tight all screws change the cluch shoes to aluminum
change the tyres to some good ones

The Rex-X is getting a bit old now and its been a good starting point for me very low cost buggy and low cost parts if you need them.
I think the base buggy is a bit more like an old Kyosho MP 5...

You get what you pay for very nice parts and quality fit finish etc looking at the photos.
Its still early days about 650 Dollars is ok for someone to spend as you are getting a buggy thats going...

Donot forget parts at some time somthing is going to brake our hot it up you need to be able to get parts fast.
