i thought this was a stupid ?
because in the grass obviously the engine is straining so it gets hotter!
the hotter the engine the more it will bog and check the slipper and change your spurr gear...

i kept the original slipper and clutch and they work fine no probs. i also kept the plastic gears in the trans. if the slipper is working it should be fine. just replace them when u need to and u...

tuning is the prob or try a different glow plug like maybe a hotter plug. it probably needs more fuel but the plug can't handle it

the fanton is a good hop up. u figure with the 2.5 had 1.38 horse motor and is awsome, the fantom had 1.95 horse and a higher rpm range. i just put one ine my maxx and it rips better than the 2.5...

i use to have probs with my 2.5 at first but then i got better at tunning it and i'm into my 3rd gallon now and it runs great all the time i have to spend 10mins when i first get going to tune itthen...

then its either to rich or u need to adjust ur throttle trim u might not be getting full throttle

u said u didn't run it for a week did u leave old fuel in it? if u do that the alcohol evaperates and the truck will run like crap.if not probably 2n lean or glow plug

mason is right its the slipper clutch. replace the pegs and u will be good to go
