RE: Main Rotor Blades - How Tight ??

The simple answer is to run them the way that works best. I've found that my Hummingbird can be run with fairly loose blades, but my Aerohawk likes it's blades nice and tight or it gives me a dose of...

RE: hello! newbie here

CP = collective pitch. Forget it if you're a beginner. fixed pitch (FP) will give you enough probs.

RE: SIM Observations ... please comment!

Hi,

Sims are good for just one thing and one thing only!!!!
They teach you the stick inputs required to fly. Or to put it another way they teach you how to use your tx for any given situation....

RE: 120CCPM mixing with Futaba 9H radio

Wow, do you mean that because in a standard ccpm setup the positive pitch is changed by moving the swash up, so a tx will be set by default to this!!!!! It makes sense then, that we need to reverse...

RE: 120CCPM mixing with Futaba 9H radio

Hi,
I'm in the same situation. I've got a VII Hornet and JR X2610 Tx. I've managed to get the aileron control right but I'm not sure how I managed it. Can't seem to get the elevator right though....

RE: Help with HUMMIGBIRD

Hi,
I hadn't intended to start a "how quick I learned, so how great am I" thread.
I should point out that my first heli was used and the tail motor burned out in a week. Replaced that only to...

RE: Help with HUMMIGBIRD

Hi,
It took me 7 months to learn to hover, so don't give up so easily. Use the forums, ask loads of questions, learn the groundwork and be patient.
Suddenly one day it'll seem so natural you'll...

RE: MS Hornet 2 or Zoom 400

Hmmm.....

I'd guess that all contributors so far don't own a hornet 2.
I do and, in this hobby as well as any others, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend a H2 for a beginner. But if...

RE: Like 90 Head Stiffener on AeroHawk

Errr... you cut your head assembly????

I fitted a like90 Aerohawk head stiffener today, no cutting of anything was required. Your blades fit back in the original position and the stiffener is...

RE: Radd's school of rotary flight

That's a new one to me. Wobbling in a hover is usually caused by mainblades being out of position in relation to each other, either because one is looser than the other or they're tight but weren't...

Hi Mark,
Your post was well worth the two fingered typing effort!:D
There is one point to add for anyone intending to copy your mods. The standard battery clip that comes with the Aerohawk, while...

RE: Hoverfly problems

Hi,
Did you crash just before this problem occured? If so have you checked that the gyro hasn't come out of it's holder. Also check it's plugged in properly to the electrics.

Hope this helps

RE: Getting my hornet programed with CP. need help with the motor/programing

Hi,
I've just taken delivery of a Hornet II, give me a couple of days to check it over and I'll see if I can help.
There don't seem to be many Hornet owners on this site. You could try...

RE: CSM HLG200 - is this right ?

hi Justin,
I suppose I'm lucky then. You could fit the plug on all 3 pins if you cut a section out of the +ve and -ve wires. But bear in mind you'd have to repair the cut if you ever want to resell...

RE: Hovering ... Good Lord!

Hi,
If it's the standard Smartech tx, then it's the same as the GWS Dreamstarter. The servo reverse switches are in the centre though.

A picture would be nice.

RE: WHAT 2 GET

What ever you do make sure you get a decent flight sim. It's a must if you've never used a transmitter before. Without one you'll trash your heli in record time.;)

RE: GWS PG03

I agree, sounds like the gyro is upside down. Try it up the other way.
