I forget the name of the DVD, but it came out recently and the subject was electric flight.

There was a guy (I think he designed the plane) flying/seting-up a foam Biplane. The interesting thing...

RE: Official Mayhem Thread

Are there any bodies for the Mayhem that are NOT pre-cut-out? I ordered the stock one and the Agitator and both were pre-cou-out. Arggggh! This is for a brushless conversion and I don't want vents...

NON-pre-cut-out bodies for Spotwerks Mahem?

Are there any NON-pre-cut-out bodies for the Sportwerks Mayhem? The stock replacement is pre-cut-out and so is the Agitator body. Any ideas?

RE: radio recomendations please!

I own both a 3PK (with spektrum) and the Nomadio (for racing). The 3PK has never failed me (with or without the spektrum). The original Nomadio V1 transciever sucks. The V2 is fine. The only other...

RE: Nomadio Sensor Radio

I love the add for this radio on this site:

"It may look funny, but it feels great"

Haven't been paying attention to this radio for awhile. Is it out yet? It's starting to look good. I like...

RE: Neo/Sphere first impression..

I loved your little rant on Trinity and the nails in the coffin of brushed. Nice to see somebody else of the same mindset as myself! I can't believe how long it is taking for brushless to become...

RE: How to set a dial to Throttle EPA with 3PK?

That's what I kind of figured. It's is not that big of a deal, I'll just have to go into the EPA menu to change the Throttle end point.

Thanks,

How to set a dial to Throttle EPA with 3PK?

Using a 3PK, I would like to have a dial (DL3) that controls the maximum throttle EPA. There are several functions that are similar to what I want, but don't apply to forward throttle. One is the...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

That would be sweet, you could probably just design a really simple long chassis (might not even need the rear pod) and just bolt on a 1/12 front end and 1/12 rear axle. Maybe even use some linkage...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

The studders only seem to happen when the battery gets low or super high gearing. There is a setting called "starting power" in the ESC set-up, and when set to "high" the studder is pretty much gone,...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

http://home.centurytel.net/GordonFreeman/12scale_mini.mpg

That is with a 7.4v 830 Mah LiPo, HiMax 2025-4200 motor. There is just a bit of studder from a dead stop with this gearing. It looks to...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

Some keys to this working (I think) are high voltage, low weight and low (high numerically) gearing (so you don't pop the Mamba). Sub-C power source is out. You could maybe use a bunch of AAAs to get...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

My plate is WAY over built, but it was just a quickie. I wanted to have thick material for the standard motor bolt threads, but yet have the motor face as close to the pod plate as I could.

The...

RE: mamba powered rc12l4?

I am using a Pheonix 25 (airplane ESC, hehe) Brushless ESC with a HiMax 2015-4100 in a 1/12 scale and it rips! 830mAh LiPo 7.4v. There is slight cogging for the first 3 inches, but then response is...

RE: Nomadio Sensor Radio

I love modern day release dates. I guess anything that involves software is "done when it's done". Carmack really started a nasty trend with Quake. Windows 95 didn't come out 'til 98. Unreal was 3...

RE: Funtana 90 What engine ???????? help

I would say 1.5:1 to 2:1, mine (Saito 100) will be about 1.25:1. My 5.3 lb Flip 3D is pretty good with a Saito .82 (don't know the thrust) on it.
