RE: Deal?

If you start the auction at $40 you will definitely sell it.
Do yourself a favor & don't put a reserve on it, reserve auctions are lame.

RE: XTM vs OFNA MBX

I'm not complaining... Just pointing out that that 1/8 scale buggies ARE expensive.

All to often first time buyers are led to believe that you can buy a cheep RTR & a jug of fuel and you're good...

RE: XTM vs OFNA MBX

What ever you do, look for a kit that does not use cheap stock servos!

Some RTR's are finally being shipped with a decent steering servo but they usually have a stock throttle - brake servo. Do...

RE: went to race my dominator ..need ur 2cents

Hi,

First thing you need to do is take off your front wheels & remove your servo Horn so you can isolate the problem. If your steering linkage moves freely from side to side you probably smoked...

RE: racing on sand is dangerous????????

In short.....YES it will get in to everything and trash your drivetrain. Also it really only takes a few grains of sand in your engine to totaly smoke it.

You've been warned.

RE: Buying First RC, not sure what

Nitro is cool but very $$$$$ also be ready to wrench on it or pay to have it fixed by your LHS. Go with a Truck They are generally not quite as fast but are a lot of fun and very durable.

RE: Throttle return spring/Failsafe

If you have a good failsafe you don't really need a return spring, but if you wan't a redundant failsafe, go to your local hardware store for the spring. Just make sure you don't buy a spring that's...

RE: Buy E-Maxx from LHS, online or ebay?

FHM101,

So if your contention is that the Local shop has a lower cost of operations why do they seem indignant about ever marking a single item down below MSRP? It's called competitive pricing...

RE: Buy E-Maxx from LHS, online or ebay?

I'd STAY AWAY FROM the used EMAXX unless it's $150 or less and in really good shape. Ebay is great, but you can do better at most of the online hobby stores.

You can pick up a Brand new EMAX...

RE: Radio Glitches

Thanks for the follow up...

I tried a different set of crystals NO luck. I'll check the exhaust tonight. Could it possibly be something inside the motor, pullstart or clutch?

RE: XTM,Ofna, I need to decide

If the local track you plan to race at has no problems with allowing big engines in the buggy class then both the OFNA & XTM .26 engines put out a lot of power for the money no mater what kit you...

RE: Would you use a 3 or 4 speed tranny on your car?

So I spent about 2 hours today playing with the idea and sketching out a rough working drawing for a CV transmission. Wow it gets complex in. When I got to 25 moving parts I threw in the towel. To...

RE: Using a tank for compressed air vs. a compressor???

Buying an air compressor is one of, if not the best investments I've ever made in tools. My only regret is that I didn't buy a bigger one. My 3 HP Campbell Hausfeld compressor just doesn't quite cut...

RE: I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYNG THIS HOBBY IS FOR LITTLE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all you ever do is drive them until they break and put it in a closet or ask someone else to fix it then yes it's a toy. But if you build kits or at least learn how to fix your RTR when it breaks...

RE: Would you use a 3 or 4 speed tranny on your car?

After my first post, I started thinking about how to build something like this for a 1/8 or even a 1/10 scale car.
I seriously doubt that it would make me a millionaire, but it sure would be a...

RE: Using a tank for compressed air vs. a compressor???

I have a 25 GAL tank on my compressor. I can tell you that it is just enough when I start with a pressure of 125 PSI on the tank.
There is a big difference between $18 and $85 but in the long run...
